In traveling, of course, we will meet people who cross the road. So when we meet that person we have to say hello, especially the area we visit is located far from where we live. At least greeting each other is something we must do. This is what we did when we tried to walk along the road in the Beutong Ateuh area. The name of the area is Singgah Mata. The area is always shrouded in fog when it is late in the afternoon, but when we stopped at this place. The weather was drizzling which made the view a little obstructed.
Apparently the young men who wanted to travel to Nagan Raya, stopped at this place. There was communication about the distance and terrain conditions we would be traveling, if we wanted to continue a journey. Exchanging information about the situation in the area. While the fog was descending, we were involved in communicating with those brave young people who wanted to travel on very challenging terrain.
Behind the fog lies a beautiful natural charm. So many people talk about this place, the natural scenery that lies as far as the eye can see. Our conversation with the youths stopped, because they wanted to continue their journey, while we wanted to return immediately.
It was certainly a journey full of challenges and memories that we will never forget. Traveling a great distance to enjoy the beauty of nature as my friend said. If you come to the Gayo Highlands, don't forget to stop by “Singgah Mata”, you can enjoy the beautiful nature while you are there.
