When we were young, we were told to go to school, get a good grade in order to get a nice job.

That usually rings as a bell in our heart as we face our studies in the college. However, it seems that another idea is gradually evolving. The emphasis is no more on securing a nice job, but being self-reliant and independent.

Which of this two would I prefer? This is the topic of this contest in steem for pakistan, Job or Business, which do you prefer.

How do you manage your monthly budget in a job or Business?

Managing your finances when you are employed or self employed is key in living a debt free life. I was once employed and had a fixed salary. Knowing how much I earn was an advantage.

I plan my expenditure within my salary ensuring that it does not exceed it.

I was able to determine how much we spend on feeding monthly, rent payment, electricity and other bills. I now had an envelope kept separate for miscellaneous expenses and emergencies, transportation. recreation no matter how small it is and then a little set aside for savings.

I ensured that I am not swayed at all or make impulse purchases. Having taken care of major expenses, I strive to live within my budget until the next payday.

Skill or Education what is important for getting a handsome Job or running a successful business?

I think it all depends on your locality and country. In some places, certificates are more important than knowing the job physically. So many go to school just to acquire the certificate without knowing the skill.

However, I believe that acquiring skill in a desired field is the best form of education that will help you get a handsome job or even run your business well. A saying says that Practice makes perfect. So practicing the skill while learning makes you a better person.

It places you in a more advantageous position whether in a job or while running your personal business. So, to me, acquiring a skill and backing it up with a certificate if necessary is important.

Do you want to become a Boss or A Successful Businessman ?

I would prefer to become a successful businessman (woman). I believe that the words boss is just a nomenclature, used to deceive unsuspecting victims. Because in just one flick, you will be relieved of that position.

It is better that you run and manage your own business, starting it very early in life. Once it is set up, you can manage gradually and it will help you take care of family and personal expenses.

The only reason why I would say that I like employment is just to raise capital and to gain experience. Apart from that, I think I prefer being a successful business woman

Successful story of your preference Job or Business?

I entered a business of selling secondhand clothing. It was basically a buying and selling business. Many think of it as being very easy, however, if you do not know the skills involved, you will end up losing your hard earned capital.

It involves buying in bulk and selling to semi- retailers. However, I needed to learn its skill. A family friend already in the business took me in to show me how the business is done. She tutored me on the dynamics of the business and how to cover losses with the next purchases.

Her mentorship really helped me to start the business. She also guided me on where and how to buy and how to sell too.

She was with me at the starting point of the business and guided me more until she now saw that I can run it on my own.

The business grew and the losses made was insignificant compared to the profit. I am so much grateful to my mentor for putting me through and helping me to be successful in that business.

Another successful story

I now produce groundnuts which I supply to supermarkets and retail to few who love it. I rarely meet the demands at the moment due to the taste. Anyone that eats it will surely ask for another one. @bossj23 and @beefit, hope I am right? At least you are my customers among others.

Though this groundnut is produced by almost every shop owner in my locality, mine is exceptional and that is a successful story to me. As time goes on, I will surely need to employ someone to assist me because a lot of work is involved since I produce manually.

The demands are increasingly increasing.

I also have other things I produce and supply. I think that is the line of business I love a lot. Produce and supply.

The only thing that has been taking me behind is to get my products registered with the NAFDAC (National Agency For Food and Drugs Administration and Control). Getting this done will help me fly. The requirements are enormous for a small scale business woman like me to meet. But it will be realized someday.

I already have taken a step by getting my business name registered. It is remaining my products registration.

I am also a successful steemian here in the blog. Being a steemian is also being a boss of your own since you have control of your page. Once one is doing the business and following the rules and with achievements, the person is successful. I can say that I am a successful steemian.

Conclusion

It is quite true that not everyone will get a well paying job, neither can all be a business man. However, we should be able to acquire the necessary skills and certifications required for any field of endeavour which we may want to pursue.
