The experience of playing cricket on the city streets is undoubtedly one of the most memorable childhood or teenage memories. In this city of brick-wood-stone, where everything is wrapped in busyness, the small spaces of the alleys are like our little world of joy. Our small but important game starts in the narrow lane in front of the house or next to it. Let the road become our stadium with the love of cricket and the joy of playing. Playing this street cricket is one of the highlights of our childhood.

The biggest attraction of street cricket is its unique rules. There are no strict rules in international cricket; Rules are made according to the convenience of the players. Bricks, old buckets or pieces of wood are often used for wickets. Sometimes the wall of someone's house becomes a wicket. The ball used is a tennis ball wrapped in tape, so as not to damage houses or cars on the street. "Catch out on one tap," "Ball on roof is out," or "Ball under car is game over"—these funny rules are the lifeblood of street cricket.

The time and place for the game is also fixed in the guise of fun. After school in the afternoon, or on Friday mornings, going out together with the bat-ball is an unspoken custom. Any empty space becomes a playground. Sometimes the elders also participate in this game, especially the elder brothers of the neighborhood. Their presence doubles the excitement of the game. However, the movement of cars or rickshaws in the lanes hinders the game but adds a different kind of fun. Sometimes the game has to stop and leave the road, and the game starts again with new enthusiasm.

Playing street cricket is not just a game; It is a wonderful example of friendship and brotherhood. From team formation to the laughter and jokes during the game, mutual camaraderie is evident in everything. Sometimes there are fights during the game, especially when the outs are disputed. Yet the quarrel did not last long. In no time everyone started playing together again. When the new boy in the neighborhood joins the game, the rules are well explained to him. New friendships are formed through this.

However, street cricket is not only fun, it also comes with many problems. Sometimes shop windows are broken while playing, or someone's flower tub is broken. There is no less scolding from the elders of the neighborhood. But these problems are trivial to the joy of playing. At the end of the day everyone goes home smiling, and looking forward to the next day's game.

One of the greatest gifts of playing cricket on city streets is precious childhood memories. In today's era, when the influence of digital games and social media is increasing, this street cricket is slowly disappearing. But for those who have participated in this game, it lives forever in their minds. These small moments colored our childhood, and taught us the value of teamwork, leadership and friendship.

It is not right to limit the game of street cricket to just one game. It is a precious chapter of our childhood, which fills every small moment of life with joy. So as time goes on, the memories of this game will live forever in our minds, and will remind us again and again of those happy childhood days.
