The foundations of the evaluation of portable computers were laid in 1975 when IBM launched the first portable computer, the IBM 5100. This computer could not lay on your lap, because it was very heavy, weighing 25kg. However, it was portable, came with a 5-inch screen, a 1.9 MHz processor, and used a magnetic tape cartridge for data storage. But The first true laptop to make it to market, the Osborne 1, hit shelves in April 1981. Created by Adam Osborne. It weighs 11 kg and the 5-inch screen could be closed and transported like a suitcase. The Osborne 1 was the first computer to have 2 built-in floppy disk drives and was powered by a 4MHz processor and 64kb of RAM. The Osborn 1 was a real success. This revolutionary invention changed the way people work and enabled them to have a portable computer while creating the current devices used today for work, entertainment, and communication, such as laptops.
Near-sightedness is a normal vision in which near objects are seen clearly but distant objects appear blurry. The medical term for Near-sightedness is myopia. Myopia occurs when the shape of the eye or part of the eye causes light rays to bend or refract. Light rays are focused on the nerve tissue at the back of the eye called the retina, instead of in front of the retina. Near-sightedness usually develops in childhood and adolescence. It becomes more stable with age.
A basic eye exam can confirm nearsightedness. You can correct blurry vision with glasses, contact lenses, or LASIK surgery.
Far-sightedness is a condition of the eye in which distant objects are seen clearly but near objects appear blurry. The medical term for far-sightedness is Hypermetropia. As the lens's ability to absorb light is reduced, incoming light rays pass behind the pupil or retina instead of striking it. If the cornea or lens is not curved evenly and smoothly, the light rays are not refracted properly, and therefore, you suffer from a refractive error. When the eyeball is smaller than normal or your cornea is curved too little, it leads to nearsightedness or Hypermetropia.
The easiest solution for farsightedness is to use glasses or contact lenses. Convex lenses are used for far-sightedness. Also, with the help of a laser, far-sightedness can be treated by performing various surgeries.
