Some people dislike rain, but for me, rain is enjoyable. When the weather turns dark and I know it's going to rain, I adjust and finish my task. When the rain starts, I make a cup of tea or coffee and sit near the window to watch the rain fall to the ground. When it rains, it calms my mind, and when the raindrops fall on the window, I observe the beauty of nature's change. Rain washes away the dust in the trees, giving them a new aspect. True, rain brings headaches for some people, floods, and destroys buildings and farms, but consider how you would live without it.
On rainy days, I like a variety of activities. I enjoy reading a good book on rainy days. When it rains, it creates ideal background noise for reading. I enjoy watching movies and TV shows with my family. As the rain keeps us inside the house, we play indoor games like carom and card. If I am not exhausted, I try a new recipe that is better suited to rainy days.
On rainy days, our bodies want warm, comforting foods. Therefore, on rainy days, I like a hot bowl of soup or stew. These foods provide me with warmth and happiness from within. Not only do I enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea. Sipping a hot cup of coffee or tea while watching the rain outside gives me a special sense. Is that all, no, I adore hot chocolate with marshmallows. It gives me the perfect feeling to keep my body from chilling.
The rain brings back a lot of memories for me. One of my favorite memories comes from childhood. In my childhood, I recall playing in the rain with my friends, splashing in puddles, and getting soaked with my siblings. When the rain stopped, our paddy field flooded, and my siblings and I rode in a banana-stuck boat. Not only do we laugh and have a great time soaking in the rain. Our parents never tried to avoid us and left us complete freedom to play in the rain. That was the difference between my parents and others.

I don't think anyone dislikes rain but when it becomes too much people wish it stops for a while. In my country right now a vast area is under flood and that's where the trouble begins.
