Being a student of literature I would say that reading is one the precious habit a student can ever have. I gives you a lot of knowledge, wisdom and make you witty. It makes you a critical thinker, you go for the critical analysis of things. I do have a habit of reading; I have read many Dramas,Short stories and Novels. These include some great writers such as shakespear, Henry fielding, Ben Johnson, Christopher Marlowe and many more. This novel is written by Thomas Hardy in 1891. It is considered as one of the great Novel of that time. The protagonist of the Novel is Tess ( a female character). On the other hand English society of that time is the antoganist. In this novel Hardy criticise the double standard of English society at that time. I am in love with this novel. I read it more than five times. Everytime I am reading this I am fully involved in it.This is the novel I am emotionally attached with. I feel so so much sorry for the character of the Tess as she is quite pure and innocent child of nature. All the time the society, fate, nature all of these go against her. She faces all with courage, but how long one can face that hardships. Her heart become dead and fregile from the world and she isn't sad leaving this world. She says to Angel Clare I am going happily from this world and I shall be waiting for you in the next world (here after).

I select this novel for my research and I am applying feminism theory on it.
What is the main reason about your loveness for this novel?

The reason why I love this novel is, it's talk about the injustice, double role and inequality of the society with woman. I am a real and positive feminist and always like to talk about women's rights. This novel is a satire on how the society deals s woman for her one time mistake. If we go through the novel Angel Clare also confess that he has had affairs with another woman before and even they have had sex. Tess forgive him, but when Tess tells him that she is not virgin, Angel is not ready to forgive him and they separated.

Another effection of mine toward this novel is the strong and beautiful character of Tess. Thomas Hardy beautifully characterized such a peaceful, innocent and pure soul. we called Tess is the masterpiece of Thomas Hardy.

This is all about my post.Hope you guys like it.
