Hello my steemian friends,
This is my participation in the contest” 1 Picture 1 Story Week #72 @suboohi in Steem For Pakistan
I also want to invite here @senehasa @josepha, @tammanna @suryati1
An old fort stood for centuries at Banshipura villege of Rajasthan , its stone walls weathered over time and its shadows loomed over the surrounding land. Locals often whispered about strange happenings near the ruins – they heard sounds in the wind, lights flickered in the middle of the night and some even saw ghostly figures pass through the crumbling towers at night.

Hence, few dared to go near the fort after sunset, as it was said to be haunted by the spirits of soldiers who had died in a bloody battle long ago. It was said by some experts that in the 1500s, a fierce clash took place between two rival armies, the battle was long and bloody, with neither side willing to surrender.
Eventually, the fort was captured and hundreds of soldiers were killed. Their bodies, and even some living ones, were buried in mass graves, their spirits trapped in the chaos of war. It was said that those who died in such violence never found peace, their souls haunting the very place they had fought and given their lives for.
Many years passed and the fort was deserted. Still, strange events continued to occur. People saw soldiers standing in the ruined watchtower in the evenings. On moonlit nights, the sound of marching feet still resonated, though no one was visible.
Sometimes, those who dared to sleep near the fort were frightened by the sound of slow and unclear whispers, as if the souls of the fallen soldiers were still discussing their lost battle. One day a daring journalist Natasha wandered the dark corridors to find out the truth there, entered the fort with a lantern. Inside, the air felt cold, the shadows were deep.
As she walked forward, she heard a faint whisper – a voice, barely audible, calling her name. "Natasha ... Natasha ..." Her heart began to beat faster. She turned around, but the room was empty. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw movement. A figure appeared at the far end of the corridor, tall and dressed in old-fashioned military uniform. The figure stood still, its face hidden in shadow.
As Natasa took a step toward it, the figure slowly turned and vanished into thin air. Frightened, Natasa fled the fort that night, and never returned. But after she left, But her mind could not believe that there were ghosts there.
she informed the Intelligence Department about the matter. The Intelligence Department ordered a special team to investigate the fort secretly to know the secret. After several months of investigation, it was found that some foreigners had been running an espionage operation in the fort, terrifying the villagers by showing ghosts by playing sound systems and videos from ultra-modern projectors. Everyone was caught and now the fort has been opened to the public.
Thanks for reading my story , I pray to God for the progress and happy future of all Steemians

I like to read scary stories, but during the day.
But even at this time it takes courage to read. I like your story and really some people make shelters to do wrong and scare people by threatening ghosts and jinn. so that no one would dare to come to their base, nor would anyone be aware of their intended work.

I am very happy that you understood my story very well, actually I do not want to believe in ghosts or jinns, that is why the story has to be given such a twist. But if they really exist and they read this comment of mine, then I am in trouble today.

If I were Natasha.....😌 quite an interesting thing would have happened to me. If they had come in front of me, I would have sat down to reason with them😂... but oooooopssss, these were not what we were expecting. It's a desire to know about the unknown. Well, humans are more terrible than any other creature.
The story is interesting. Besides the plot, the location is captivating. I love the vibrant culture, and typical architecture of Rajasthan.
