SEC-S14 /W3 | My Achievements In 2023

Hey Steemian friends!

It was full of twists and turns that led me to 2023! I know it must have been difficult for most of us and also I think many of us changed during recent years. Mine is quite remarkable turn around so find it out in the rest of the article.

👉 What are your real life achievements in 2023?

I was 19 years old when I first started my job and 2017 is the year, I started my own start-up. Then I dreamt a lot! I remember that I had 03 phones, 12 emails & 08 hotels to manage daily like a multitasking wizard. It was even hard to sleep at night because my number was in every corner of Sri Lanka as the contact person for hotel inquiries. Why so much hustle! Well, I got several salaries at once 😊 I was just about to make all the materialistic achievements I ever wanted, and just as that COVID happened.

Fast forward to 2023, I decided to hit the airplane mode button on my life. No phones, no emails, no traditional job, just a different kind of hustle altogether. Is that an achievement? You tell me...

Well, I've traded the hustle for quality sleep, time for self-care, and a business that runs smoothly under my wife's supervision. I might lack the glitz of my previous role, but the happiness I've found in disconnecting is worth its weight in gold. I've even managed to read seven books this year, a personal record. Running 10K is a habit now, seeing my forehead hair make a comeback, and getting a grip on my insulin levels might not make headlines, but they've made me genuinely happy and I consider them as achievements I made.

👉 What are your steemit achievements in 2023?

It was really good I must say! But I have to wait a few more months for the pinnacle of my achievement. 2024 in that case will be the year I will be remembered, A rare feat to the Steemians and I can’t wait for that day and it will be 6th March 2024 as per my calculation.

Also, Steemit is one of the reasons I dance to my own rhythm in this life. I was able to dictate myself since I knew I have a certain financial backup from the platform.

👉 What are the goals you wish to achieve in real life next year?

Looking ahead to 2024, I'm thinking of dusting off my academic cap. My master's thesis on the "Impact of Digital Marketing on the Hotel Industry" got stuck by the chaos of COVID because there was no hotel industry to do a thesis! Maybe it's time for a second shot because knowledge doesn't expire, right?

On the entrepreneurial front, April holds the promise of a new venture. Sure, it needs more capital, and the road ahead is quite uncertain with economic challenges in Sri Lanka, but I'm ready for the challenge.

👉 What are the goals you wish to achieve in steemit next year?

Steemit goals? Oh, they're in the works but there are a few tech roadblocks... I’m seeking the knowledge to do it and probably in a couple of months I can complete this project. I hope that it will benefit many newcomers.

In conclusion, 2023 has been a year of discovery, finding joy & happiness in life. I love how it went and want to continue this lifestyle for about another 05 years.
