This festival is celebrated on Kartik Shukla Amavasya. On this day Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya from exile. Ayodhya was decorated with lamps in this happiness. That's why this festival of Diwali is celebrated. Ganesh-Lakshmi ji is worshiped on this day. Prasad of Kheel Batashe is offered & crackers are lit.
