Hey Steemit IronChefs 😍,
You all are welcome to my blog. Today I am here to be with sharing my menu delicacies on 18th of February. These kinds of menu delicacies remind us of how food makes our day delicious. The @steemit-ironchef community should be appreciated for organizing such delectable contests weekly.
My day starts at 6 am. I have a bit of a hay fever these days, so I have been adding more spicy recipes to my diet. The reason is that I don't like food because I don't feel the taste because I'm suffering from common cold. So for breakfast, I ate the roti with onion sambal that my mother had prepared. The roti is quite crispy and soft. I know from experience that the more the roti is roasted, the crispier it gets. This onion sambal in the middle of the roti is mild in taste and spicy.
For lunch, like me, according to the Sri Lankan culture, I mostly add rice and curries to my diet. If I can't eat curry with rice for lunch, even if it's urgent, I feel like it's a lack of food for the day. Today, I added some simple and quick-to-prepare delicious dishes to my lunch. Rice with lentils, gotukola sambal and sprats badum. I got a perfect meal plate with all the nutrients.
During the evening tea time, I added some colorful pieces of muscat while talking to the family on the table. A light rain fell in our area in the evening. On that whether I really like to spend time with a hot drink like this.
For the night, I chose wade. I also cut the chili peppers pods into small pieces to eat with it and mixed everything on the plate. Eating such a dish while studying can relax the mind and get rid of monotony. I have often felt that I can complete my work more efficiently. I really like the crispy nature of wade. Also, by making them in small oval shape balls, it is easy to eat one by one when I needed.
That's how I end my day with delicacies today. Finally, I invite @senehasa, @kyrie1234 and @simaroy to share their menu delicacies with us. I look forward to meeting you with another food blog one day.
