Happy first Sunday to us, I am so happy that I able to join others in the engagement challenge season 9 week 2 contest, so in my own way I will love to share the woman in my life that has really Puth me through in cooking.

My mother would have been the person I would have loved to my mention but since she is gone another person took her space and that person is no other person than my elder sister.

My sister has been my guardian on this aspect even my daughter of 12 years has been telling my sister to show her how to cook in her own way because she enjoys the food cook by my elder sister

My elder sister is the only person for that I call call my mother because every since we lost my mother, she been the first daughter of the family, she has taken the responsibility to look after us, she is my best cook, because of her cooking skills she doesn't taste her food to know if the food has taste, she knows the amount of ingredients to put in each pot of food.

To shock you, do you believe that anytime my elder sister is the house I don't enter my kitchen, she will be the one doing all the cooking until the day she leaves my house. I and my elder sister we are very close that people thinks she is my mother, if I want to do anything I go to her advice, she is too caring, she did everything a mother should do to her child. Just imagine yesterday she brought me Garry and Afang leaves for me to make soup with.

I can remember one day when we went home my one of my brother wife's enter kitchen to cook we all shouted that my elder sister should be the one to cook, that is to show you that she is the best cook in my family.

My sister is very good in cooking, she is not a specialist oh but her food is always the best, just taste her editan soup you will understand what I mean, editan soup is our native soup that not everyone knows how to cook it because of the bitterness, the leaves is always very bitter that you have to wash it very well and some people add potash so that the bitterness will go off, but in my sister case, she doesn't was the leaves she will cook it like that and it won't be bitter, the real draw from the editan is there and it will look as if you are eating Afang soup. And soup my sister cook is afang soup, her Afang soup is second to known, she is very perfect when it comes to her Afang soup. And her Banga soup with atama is something else, you can lick your hand out when you eat it.

This few food is what I like most in her cooking, since I don't know how to cook editan soup, any time she comes around I will plead with her to help me cook these soup for me.

• Before my sister enters the kitchen to cook she must make sure that everywhere is clean and when you tell her to cook that after cooking we will clean up the kitchen, she will say no that hygiene is her key word that she want to feel comfortable while cooking.

• Another advice she taught me is not adding much salt to food, she told me that since I'm approaching 40th that I should not be adding too much salt to my food, but if the kids are around I can add salt that they need salt.

• Another advice was that I should avoid adding much seasoning cubes to my food rather I should make use of much crayfish, that all this seasoning cubes contain artificial spice which is not good to our body system, that when she was small my mothers don't use to Cancer but now that cancer is everywhere because of the kind of food we eat.

• Another advice was avoiding much pepper in food because me I like pepper in my food so she advice that I shouldn't be eating too much pepper cause internal heat in the body.

The food that my mother use to prepare for me when I was small is rice and stew, I can remember when I always cry to eat rice and stew every day, which I am still in love with it till now. Even my daughter have took over me, she likes rice and stew too.

My elder sister who is now my mother favorite meal is so much because in the morning she can not do away with tea and bread,

you don't need to ask her about breakfast, then during the day you will see her with orange, then if you go to her room you will see bread , at times if you call her at night and ask if she has eaten she will tell you that she ate biscuits. Then her launch is always swallow with any of our native soup. If you see her she doesn't look like her age, she is still very young. This is a lady that has senior me more than 20 years but if we walk together people will be asking if we are twins.
