And just like that we already completed 16days of fasting for the month of Ramadan here in Mauritius while in some other countries they are on their 18th already...
In a blink of an eye the month of Ramadan will be over, this is how time flies nowadays!
Greetings of the day my foodie friends of SIC!
Here I am for another Iftaar Table that we set up at my place to break our fast every day when the sun is setting!
Beef Biryani once again...
I have to mention that beef biryani is the most famous dish for the Muslim community here in Mauritius and during Ramadan, very often we have it on our table...
Today's beef biryani was from my uncle and it was very yummy...we all enjoyed it for our iftaar.
Less and less foods these days...
After 16days of fasting, our appetite is not the same actually and we tend to eat less during the last weeks of fasting when compared when Ramadan started...
Only couple of snacks, drinks, fruits and chocolates...
We only had some chicken samosas and crispy calamari on the table as fried snacks...
Some fruits were present and different chocolates too!!!
Eid preparation is on...
The last 2 weeks of Ramadan is mainly spent in preparing for Eid...
On top on some renovation works at home, we also buy new dresses and gifts for kids and families...and this takes a lot of time!
But despite our busy days, we will always make our best to set up a nice Iftaar Table...even that we are putting our less and less foods these days.
I am so happy to be able to participate once again in @decuartae's Menu Du Jour challenge, which I am having so fun sharing food shots of my Iftaar Table...
I hope to be able to be as present as now after Ramadan too...let's see how it goes!
Thank you for reading and hope you enjoyed the post!
Have a wonderful day/evening ahead!
Best Regards!
