Always a pleasure getting time to write a post and participate in Menu Du Jour challenge run by @crisvera!
So today, it was once again a rainy and cold day, but my work had to be done same as everyday! Despite the bad weather, I managed to get some food photos during my day...enjoy!
Starfruits still available...
I was surprised to see more green starfruits on the tree, meaning that we will still have them for some more weeks maybe!
My lunch : Beef Tajine cooked by my wife
I did not have time to get the photo of the whole tajine, but here's my plate that I ate for my lunch...
Better with bread, but I prefer steamed rice...
My wife eats tajine with Moroccan Bread while for me it is steamed rice and that's a habit actually and difficult for me to change!
Most Mauritians eat rice for their meal!
Salted Pancakes with Chutney from my sister in law
She prepared these pancakes in which we have different herbs like coriander, mint and chives and also some chopped onions and green chili!
They are best enjoyed with a chutney on the side!
Red Velvet Cake for tea time
For our tea time at home, I bought some cakes from the nearby McDonald's and among them was this delicious red velvet cake with cream cheese!
And this is only some of the foods that I encountered today...
