Lohan Pine

• Lohan pine is genus of conifers, largest and most widely distributed of Lohan pine family. The name comes from Greek. Lohan Pine is evergreen shrub or tree, usually from 1 to 25 m (3-82 ft) tall, and sometimes reach 40 m (130 ft).

• The cones have 2-5 fused conical scales that forms fleshy, berry-like vessel that is brightly color when ripe. The fleshy cone attracts birds, which teat the cones and disperse seeds in droppings.

• Lohan pine is use in the treatment of fever, asthma, cough, cholera, distemper, chest complaiints or veenereal diseases. Other uses are timber, food, wax,and as orrnamental trees.
