The cockscomb flower or in Bengali term Morog jhuti ful (scientific name Celosia argentea var. Cristata) is a tropical Asian species of the Amaranthaceae family but is quite popular in Bangladesh. Morog jhuti is also called rooster and red rooster. The bud of this flower looks like a rooster's head crest so it is called a rooster crest flower or the cockscomb flower.

The leaves are quite long, the veins and middle veins clear, the apex pointed. The tree grows up to 4-6 feet in height. Branches emerge from the trunk of the tree. The branches and stems are quite soft. Flowers bloom all over the tree, but at the very tip of the stem, a large rooster-shaped flower blooms, and the branch-shaped flowers are small in size. The rooster is an annual herbaceous plant.
