Aloha, good morning all
This time i tell about Belimbing Wuluh (Averrhoa Bilimbi Linn).
Belimbing wuluh or in Latin it is called Averrhoa Bilimbi Linn. In Indonesia some say it’t belimbing sayur (sayur means vegetable), because it is often used in cooking. This tree is usually planted in the yard for its fruit. The taste of the fruit is very sour and is often used as a cooking spice and a mixture of herbal ingredients.
At my workplace, this plant is grown in a pot, due to limited land. Because it is in a pot, its size also cannot grow as large as in general. This plant is only about 1 meter high. However, this tree has fruited several times, including now it is also bearing fruit.
I don’t know the term used in English for this fruit. I am not sure, but i just googled and found some people call it bilimbi. Almost similar to the word “belimbing” in my Indonesian language. But the word “belimbing” also refers to starfruit in my language.
Thank you for reading.
Have a nice day for you all
Special thanks.
