Greetings to all members and stakeholders in this wonderful community. This is my first post in the Steemit Garden community. Bringing the Steemit Garden community on Steemit is a very good initiative to continue to encourage user creativity, thanks to the founders.

In this post I want to share a story about my garden. Since I was a teenager, I have loved gardening and planting trees. I grow plants that can be used as a spice in the kitchen.

Some other plants such as banana trees, papaya, sugar cane, lemon grass, tomatoes, cassava, and chili. I have a small garden in front of the house. The garden is roughly about 7x6 meters in size.

In the past in the garden I also had ornamental fish. I have a pond made of thick tarpaulin. The pond is right in the middle of the garden and around it there are chili plants that are planted hydroponically and in pots.

In this garden, we prioritize planting plants that can be used as kitchen spices. The most widely grown crops are chilies, tomatoes, and lemongrass. Because it is a type of staple plant that is used as the main ingredient for kitchen spices.

Planting vegetables in the yard will really help us in completing our cooking needs. What's more, it will help us a lot in terms of economy. By having vegetables in our yard, it makes our finances more efficient, because we no longer need to buy them in the market.

When there are ingredients needed for kitchen spices, we can take them directly from the garden. Growing vegetable plants in the yard is very easy, it doesn't need to spend a lot of money. Just buy some plant seeds and sow them in pots.

The process of planting and caring for it is very easy. What's more, we don't need a large plant area. The process of seeding, watering, and caring for plants on a regular basis is continuously carried out until the harvest season arrives.

Geographically, the environment in our area has a loose and fertile soil texture. Indonesia's presence at the equator is an advantage that can provide fertility for plants. In my yard, plants can thrive even without fertilizer.

Specifically in this post I want to tell you about the chili plants that I have. Because of the fertile soil, this chili plant can grow by itself even without care and fertilization. In this garden, chili is the dominating plant.

The chili plant in my garden is called the Tabasco Chili or in scientific language it is the genetics of Capsicum frutescens. At first glance, this chili is almost similar to cayenne pepper. However, this chili has a higher level of spiciness than cayenne pepper in general.

In my garden, this chili plant is sown directly in the ground without using a pot. This chili plant seems to be able to grow easily. This chili plant can grow to a height of 1 meter with branches and stems that spread.

Because of the fertile soil in my area, some chilies that fall from the tree grow into chili seeds. These chili seeds grow wild without the seeding process. So the dried chilies that fall release seeds and grow into chili seeds.

Another characteristic of this chili plant is the fruit which is oval in shape and slightly oval at the end. Chili with a very spicy taste is usually made into chili sauce or sauce in the form of a thick texture. Its very spicy taste makes this chili the most popular as an ingredient for seasoning and chili sauce "Ayam Geprek" and "Ayam Penyet".

This type of chili can grow wild without a special treatment process. Growing this type of chili is very easy and does not take much time to care for it. This chili can grow up in a period of months.

Another thing that is most interesting about this chili is that it can grow easily and produce a lot of fruit. In one broad stem, it can produce hundreds of fruits. The right time for picking this chili is when it is red in order to get a distinctive spicy taste sensation.

Growing chilies in the yard on a garden plot that is not so beneficial for us. In addition to making it easier for cooking ingredients, chili is also useful for health. Consuming chili can reduce pressure on cholesterol disease, contain antioxidants and reduce the impact of cancer.

On the other hand, this chili plant that grows tall and wide also looks to beautify the home page. For fans of spicy taste, you can try to feel the spicy sensation of this chili. While be careful for those of you who have intestinal and gastric disorders, you should not consume it.
