Hello friends of Steemit Garden wherever you are, I'm very happy this time I can share posts about gardens again. Hopefully you can get education from the posts that I share in this community.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to vacation in the highlands of the Bener Meriah district. Bener Meriah Regency is geographically located in the Gayo Mountains region. The majority of the population work as farmers and planters.

The agricultural and plantation sectors are sectors that support the community's economy here. Bener Meriah Regency is located opposite the North Aceh Regency. To get to Bener Meriah I have to travel about 2 hours by road using a motorbike.

Being in a mountainous area with cool air gives its own feel compared to the North Aceh district with hot weather. During the trip, various plants were planted in the residents' yard in pots. The aroma of Gayo coffee is so distinctive that it is quite strong in my sense of smell.

This district is a producer of coffee with the best quality that is able to provide a different taste compared to other coffees. Robusta and arabica are the mainstay coffees that are cultivated. This coffee has even been exported abroad, which has significantly boosted the people's economic growth.

Not only coffee, farmers also grow various vegetables and fruits. One that has an attraction is to grow Strawberry plants. In the Buntul Kepies area, Permata District, Bener Meriah Regency, a number of farmers cultivate strawberry plants.

I had the opportunity to visit one of the strawberry gardens located not far from Rembele airport, Bener Meriah. This garden is located in the area of the foot of Mount Burni Telong with cool air and air. This area is indeed very suitable for planting Strawberry plants because it has a cool air.

Strawberry is a pseudo-fruit plant that belongs to the genus Fragaria. The leaves of this fruit are green with a unique finger-like shape and the size is not wide and short. Strawberries are generally white or green when they are young or developing.

When old, the fruit will appear red. Strawberry fruit is oval in shape with a small size and on the side of the fruit looks like hairy. This fruit contains vitamin C which is quite rich which is good for health, rich in nutrients and minerals.

This strawberry plant is planted on the former planting of mustard greens and cabbage. The soil here has a fertile content if it is at a soil content level with a normal pH level. The land in the mountainous region is very fertile for planting vegetables and various fruit crops.

This strawberry plant is planted on plots of land that have been made like small hills covered with plastic. The plastic is useful so that water does not directly wet the entire soil and inhibits the growth of pests, including so that weeds are not overgrown in the strawberry planting area. Planting begins with sowing seeds in the ground.

At a young age the plant grows and develops until it enters fruiting age. The harvest period of this plant is about 3 months. When harvesting the red fruit, pick it carefully so as not to damage the other branches.

In mountainous areas, pests that attack this plant usually come from insects. If it is severe there is a plant disease that makes the leaves dry and look like white powder that fills the leaves. To ward off plant pests, spraying can usually be done using natural remedies available at farm stores.

This strawberry plant area is not only used as land for farming. But this land has also been used to become an ecotourism development area that can support the economy in the tourism sector. The agricultural and plantation sectors have been developed to attract tourists, including tours in strawberry gardens with a beautiful mountain backdrop.

That's my post about Strawberry Gardens, I hope this post can give you education. Thank you for reading and supporting my post.
