The mango is a tree that can grow up to 30 meters high, with a strong stem and a large fruit production, in my home I have a noble mango tree of more than 20 years that with love and care bears fruit twice a year and in large quantities even though the soil in the area where I live is not very good. However, I have managed to work it by incorporating vitamins and organic fertilizer that has made this year's mango production even greater.

Of all the plants I have this is one of my favorites, I must confess that in a very hard time when the economy of my country was devastated and family economies were severely affected were its fruits my livelihood and that of my wife, in those hard times we only had enough work salary to eat only once a day and the mangoes were our breakfast, snacks and dinners. Another reason why I love my mango plant is because of the healing power of its leaves, mango leaf tea and bathing with the water from the young leaves or buds as they are known here in my city can relieve the strongest joint pains.

-A spacious place to plant it, it has a main root and others that serve for food. It is a leafy tree that offers shade and its arms extend, so we must have adequate space to plant it and watch it grow.
-The average water consumption is 20 liters per week, so the land must have good drainage, if the water stagnates it can rot the root and the tree would die.
-It is advisable to plant it in the first place, it needs heat and sunlight. It is not a plant that resists the cold so it does not support temperatures below 30°.
-This tree needs warmth and humidity in summer, as well as dryness in winter.
-It is required to give good nutrients to the plant that fertilization is done twice a year.
-As for the maintenance of the tree in the first pruning this should be done when the plant reaches its first two years, after that it should be done annually in spring or autumn depending on the weather.
-One of the pests that threatens the mango bush is the white cochineal, which is eliminated with pruning and natural fungicides.
As you can see the mango tree is not difficult to plant or maintain, this is one of the fruit plants that can produce the largest amount with proper care, its fruits are versatile because their consumption can be when they are green or ripe. Its diverse use makes it one of the favorite fruits of many, since it is used to make jellies, jams, preserves, as well as to complement delicious food dishes, especially salads.
