What's the easiest way to make money online?

Through the Creator Economy.
In the time since starting on Quora in the Fall of 2016: (I can’t believe it’s just now been five years!), the content ecosystem has completely revolutionized.
Medium launched a partner program in 2017, spearheading a digital space where people were starting to make money with writing. They have 1.1 million people paying $5 a month.
Substack, their competitor, runs a paid newsletter, is getting massive funding, with some writers allegedly pulling in millions.
The entire creator space has brought $1.1 billion in investor funding in 2021. Allegedly, Medium worries about Substack a lot, and they’ve had a couple of top writers rage quit and go to that platform.
Vocal Media hosts writing contests as a writer’s top way to make money. I’m not a fan of the site but some like it.
Facebook is paying writers (the program is in its beta right now).
The list goes on.
It still blows my mind because, for so long, nobody was paying writers to publish online. There were a few crappy platforms where you could make a few Google Adsense dollars. Sure, a few bloggers made a fortune by locking down a corner of the web with SEO and good marketing. But it was a desert outside of that.
Now, tons of people are quitting their jobs to do this (I’m one of them).
All of this stuff with OnlyFans accounts to YouTube, and online writing are all part of the same digital revolution. We are all riding the same train.
I know one blogger whose earnings were doing poorly, so she is literally doing porn now to supplement her writing. I think I’ll just go back to finance if I’m ever in that situation.
Being an online writer is an awesome career. I’d start it off as a side hustle first and work from there.
You need to be patient though. I was able to make the transition fairly quickly because I had a backlog of experience writing here on Quora for years. But even then, it becomes much more competitive when you enter a paid domain. However, competition is good. It brings out the best in you.
