儿时的回忆-菇娘果Childhood Memories - Lantern Fruit

回农村老家的时候，又欣喜的看到了儿时最喜爱的一种玩的水果，那就是菇娘果。 菇娘果是一种长的像一个小灯笼一样挂在枝干上的果子，熟透了的菇娘果是黄色的，非常甜，里面有很多种子。菇娘果不仅好吃，还可以治病呢，有清热解毒，润肺止咳，利尿通淋的的功效呢！

小时候，也就是上个世纪70年代，水果很少，不像现在有各种水果，苹果，李子，杏子，葡萄，大樱桃等等吃也吃不完，那个时候我的二姨家就种这种菇娘果，成片的菇娘果像一个一个小灯笼一样挂在那里，特别诱人。而我和妹妹们，也总是因为这个，特别愿意到二姨家串门，顺便和表兄表妹们玩，然后，就会得到二姨的奖赏，就是这个果子。

那时候我们用这个果子来吹出动人的响声，就是将青的菇娘果用针将果腚链接叶子的部分透成圆圆的小孔，然后种子用手轻轻的揉出来，将里面的液体和种子挤出来之后，就会剩下一个空空的果壳，然后放到嘴里，利用吸气让它变得鼓鼓的，然后上下牙齿咬下中间部分，要用好力，掌握好分寸，这样就会咬出一种美妙的声音来。

不知道其他地方的小伙伴们是否玩过这个，但是当时菇娘果可是我们最喜爱的玩具了！甚至不喜欢成熟的果实，就喜欢没有熟的，绿色的小果子，成熟之后的黄色果子没有韧性，会破，也不会出声音，只有绿色的果子才可以这样玩。

每次玩这个都没有够，一个菇娘会在嘴里翻来覆去的咬很长时间，而且大家会比赛，看谁咬的声音更大，更响，获胜的那个人总是很骄傲的洋洋自得，令人羡慕。

现在的孩子已经很少有人玩这个东东了，因为他们的水果太多了，他们可以玩的东西也太多了，但是对于那时候的我来说，这个就是最好的水果最好的玩具了，每年我都期待着夏天的到来，因为只有夏天才可以玩这个。

When I was a child, in the 1970s, there were very few fruits, unlike now where there are various fruits such as apples, plums, apricots, grapes, cherries, and so on that can be eaten any time. At that time, my second aunt's house planted this type of lantern fruit, and the slices of fruit hung there like small lanterns, very tempting. And my sisters and I are always willing to visit my second aunt's house and play with our cousins because of this, and then we will receive my second aunt's reward, which is this fruit.

At that time, we used this fruit to blow out a moving sound, which was to use a needle to make a round hole in the part of the green fruit where the fruit bud was connected to the leaves. Then, the seeds were gently kneaded out by hand, and the liquid and seeds inside were squeezed out, leaving an empty fruit shell. Then, we put it in our mouth and use inhalation to make it bulge. Finally, we bit the middle part with our upper and lower teeth, using good force and balance to create a wonderful sound.

I don't know if my friends from other places have played this before, but at that time, lantern fruit was our favorite toy! Even if they don't like ripe fruits, they prefer unripe, green small fruits. Once ripe, yellow fruits lack resilience, will break, and won't make any sound. Only green fruits can be played with in this way.

Every time I would play this for a long time . and everyone will compete to see who bites louder and more loudly. The winner is always proud and envious.

Nowadays, few children play with this fruit because they have too many fruits and things to play with. However, for me at that time, it was the best fruit and toy. Every year, I look forward to the arrival of summer because only summer we can play with it.

Until now, I always can't forget that little fruit and I always miss that little fruit with warmth and love.
