雙層觀光巴士從故宮旁邊的小路向上繞到故宮側門，讓我們從最近的距離觀賞故宮的建築。
一路上兩旁綠蔭蔥蔥，彷彿開進幽靜的森林，透過樹叢可以看到庭園的古典涼亭。
據說附近還有原住民園區和原民博物館，到故宮參觀時也可以順道遊覽。
