Pick up where we left off yesterday. I had some misconceptions about Buddhism and thought it was completely passive and reclusive. But after this experience, I realized the depth of Buddhist wisdom. Sometimes understanding Buddhism is not really about seeing through the world and escaping into an empty door. A little Buddhist truth can also help you recover your mood as soon as you suffer a major change.
Human beings are like that sometimes. They can't get enough. What was already a very happy and happy life, if passed for a long time, everyone will get used to it and start arguing about some trivial things. People always want more and better. Of course, this is the driving force of human civilization, but as I said yesterday, it is also the cause of suffering. Therefore, we should understand the truth that "there is always impermanence" in Buddhism, and cherish the present, we will give birth to gratitude and contentment.
As I said yesterday, although everything is impermanent, in fact, there is a school of Mahayana Buddhism called Midasana, and there is a more elaborate explanation. In fact, everything is not born and die, not often and constantly, these views in the language of modern science, that is, that time and space do not exist, which is somewhat consistent with the theory of modern science.
Several of the leading hypotheses in quantum gravity, the cutting edge of theoretical physics, hold a similar view that time and space are phenomena emerging from the activity of quantum objects, not real ones. In fact, the moment is eternal, as long as it has existed forever. What happened in the past, we can't go back to the past, but what happened in the past is not gone, it's still there. There are countless possibilities for the future, but it's just that we haven't experienced it yet, it's already there.
Modern cosmology holds that our universe originated from a big bang of singularities. And in the distant future, the universe will be destroyed. But a universe with birth and destruction is certainly not a universe in the true sense of the word, it is just one of many universes. Before it, after it, and beyond it, there are other universes, and this is the concept of the multiverse, which is now a favorite of science fiction films and television. And that true universe should be what the Middle view says is neither born nor extinct.
There is a famous unitarity theorem in quantum mechanics that also has the implication of "neither being born nor dying", which basically means that information does not disappear at the quantum level. It means that you burn a book, and if you have access to all the information about the ashes after it's burned, you can still reconstruct the original appearance of the book. This also leads us to know that those who have passed away are not really dead, they live forever in some time and space. Because information can't be erased.
Our universe could also be one of infinite cycles. Information from the universe before us may still be trapped in the Big Bang's microwave background radiation, photons that travel through space at the speed of light.
According to the time dilation and length contraction effects of Einstein's theory of relativity, photons traveling at the speed of light do not experience any time. In its view, the more than 10 billion years of history of our universe is only a moment, which is fully in line with the view of the Middle School that neither birth nor death, neither constant nor constant. So cherish the moment, leave no regrets, is a good life, don't be too persistent.
