太行崖柏为灌木或乔木；枝条密，开展，生鳞叶的小枝扁。叶鳞形，生于小枝中央之叶斜方状倒卵形，有隆起的纵脊，有的纵脊有条形凹槽，长1.5-3毫米， 宽1.2-1.5毫米， 先端钝，下方无腺点，侧面之叶船形，宽披针形，较中央之叶稍短，宽0.8-1毫米， 尖头内弯，两面均为绿色，无白粉。
经济价值：崖柏料各个产区都有好的料子，但总体而言，太行山脉出产的崖柏整体材质最佳。
