Once upon a time was a group of boys in their neighborhood who where all friends with one another. They all attended the same school and their parents all lived like relatives. It was like one big family. Thanksgivings, Christmas, New Year’s and even the birthdays of the kids, they all celebrated as one. The boys all went on picnics in a gardening not too far from home, with and sometimes without their parents. They lived harmoniously.
Time flew really fast and the boys grew into responsible young adults. Then one day, they called for a meeting within themselves. The eldest amongst the 5 boys was named Sam; a young lad in his early twenties, tall, sculpted, dark and good looking. He had the features of a charismatic leader. Clearing his throat, he began
“Guys, we all have noticed the recent frequent missing of properties in this neighborhood of ours. What can we do to curb the situation? I need ideas and your very sincere opinions.”
The first to speak up was Derek; he had average looks and more brains amongst the others. “I think we should form a team of vigilantes to secure this neighborhood. I mean, we all are members of a scout group in our college so why don’t we implement that security knowledge and catch these bad guys?!”
These words lit fires in the belly of the rest of the youths and they all chanted “yes” to the idea. Cam another teenager from the five randomly shouted, “let’s call ourselves The Brotherhood Scout”. Then came another roar of “yes” from the small gathering.
Swiftly, the brotherhood scout plunged into action as they scheduled and planned for the thieves to come do their thing which is to steal. The young men waited in their designated spots for the thieves to arrive as usual but they didn’t show up. Hours later, they youths communicated amongst themselves through their walkie talkies to come out of their hiding places and set up a camp to wait further.
“It’s really a cold night out here and this hoodie of mine can’t keep me warm any longer”, Cam said. He was the one who suggested a name for the group.
Daniel and I will go get some firewood while you guys, set up the tents with the few supplies we have, suggested Carlos who seemed like the most quite yet full of sharp wits. Daniel was the athlete in the group having the speed of a cheetah which he used to represent the running team of the college the boys attended. Trophies were a regular thing for him because he always came back with either a medal or a cup.
Getting the firewoods weren’t a big deal as the two in charge came though quickly and the tents were set up just fine. Sam did majorly all there was to get the tents on their feet since he camped more with his dad when he had time to.

The campfire was set and the boys ate whatever food there was for them. Good thing Derek thought about that and made provisions too. Minutes went by after they had eaten and the boys were beginning to loose their zeal. The crackles from the campfire and the sounds of nature from the crickets filled the boys ears, keeping them woke.
They heard rattles from the bushes and grabbing a touch light, each of the young men positioned to attack whatever it was that was making that noise. Behold, it was two masked men in their late twenties searching through a big nylon bag.
“Hands in the air, freeze”, shouted Sam who flashed his light on the bandits.
Scared to death, they thieves stop and obeyed. Derek called the cops on their emergency number while the other three cuffed and unmasked the men. In no time, the cops arrived and swung into action. Their siren made most of the peacefully rested tenants of the neighborhood rush to the scene. The boys parents praised their kids as well as the others around. The policemen thanked the brotherhood scout and encouraged them to continue to be good doers.
The end.
Interesting title to describe this group of young people on scout, The Brotherhood Scout. It's such original to present the content for the proposed contest at the engagement challenge, season two in Steemit. Have a good luck then. Cheers 👍🏼

Lol, like I described Sam the charismatic leader, although a young chap, he had the build and voice of a fully grown man. And another point was that he had his flashlight on the faces of the two bandits, making him appear darker behind the light. Can you picture that? 😂
Thanks for reading through ❤

Beautiful story here my friend
They way you described the boys, I definitely want to meet them
But I think it's unlikely for thieves to just obey a freeze 😅 I thought they'll try to escape
I'm anticipating the sequel of this story
Please don't keep me waiting

Hi @blackalbino
I really enjoyed reading your story, it taught a great lesson.
First those boys were really concerned about the security of their community
Secondly, they embrace unity amongst themselves and this made them achieve that goal.
Thirdly, the boys were brave to answer the call to bravery.
Regards

They really were. And kudos to the neighborhood they lived in that gave them the best things a conducive environment could give; to live and be bred, helping them grow into fine brave young lads. Thanks for reading through my friend 😊❤

Hi, @blackalbino.
Brave kids! I loved the emotion you brought to the action in the last few paragraphs. As a reader, one can feel the triumph of these young vigilantes.
Nice of the police to encourage them, although I wouldn't want to be the mother of one of these heroes. My nerves would kill me.
Cheers and good luck!

Your scout story reminds me of the old times while I was still in the village. I cannot but laugh at the crazy things I did back then.
Growing up with people who aren't your brothers but are like brothers is one special thing.

You guys were too smart. Coming up with the idea in a short while and helping the police to apprehend those thiefs was great.
We need more of your Boys in the neighborhoods.

It's really a solid division of tasks and cooperation. Makes me think back to the days when I was active in Boy Scouts.
