SEC-S10W5 | Patience.

Steem greetings, everyone in the Scouts and Friends community. It is another chance for me to participate in the week five engagement challenge.

This week's discussion dwells on the topic “Patience”. This is a value that humans possess and can create a great impact not only on our lives but equally the society. To further share more concerning this topic, I will base my arguments on the guiding questions below.

Do you tend to lose your patience easily, or do you control yourself all the time?

Circumstances at times force someone to lose patience easily. The worst of it all is when you are unable to control your anger. To me, I always exercise patience in everything I do.

My grandfather used to tell us that only those who are patient in life end up making it in life. I have grown and experienced it on several occasions. He used to say never hurry in life because life has different phases. You will experience tough moments, and if you cannot exercise patience, then you can easily fall prey to some circumstances in life.

There are moments in my life when everyone has concluded that I will not make it, but I exercise patience, strategise and come out as a conqueror. I believe in myself, and I know I can do everything I want to do. With patience, the results are always positive.

Controlling yourself means doing away with anger, hatred, envy, etc. and believing in yourself and surrounding yourself with patience and love.

What is it that makes you most desperate or stressed?

When I’m unable to accomplish a task, I know I'm capable of doing it. These are the worst moments in my life that stressed me out a lot. I do not have rest; I exercise patience and continue to explore new options until I can accomplish the task.

What I have learned in life is that no matter how desperate you become, if you do not exercise patience, then you will never record any success story. The reason why in any desperate situation, I always control myself by being patient, the results are positively achieved.

Also, being patient takes lots of time. Never be in a hurry because it will rather worsen your stress level.

How do you avoid losing your patience?

There are several ways I used to avoid situations in life that will cause me to lose patience. The first is to avoid being around those who cannot contribute meaningfully to your growth in life. Making friends with such people will only bring you more stress.

Secondly, I smile over any hard, soft or smooth transitions in life. I do not carry on images of bad situations in life.

Lastly, I try to talk less and listen more. Talking less helps me not to easily get angry with others' opinions. People always have different ideas, but it does not mean that you should force them to accept your Ideas. Therefore, I learned to accept everyone for whom they are.

When you lose patience, how do you act?

It is rear for me to lose patience because I do not easily give up. But in situations where I lose patience, I avoid talking and avoid interactions with other people.

At times, I play games or play gospel music and put on handsets and sing to the top of my voice. At times, it makes me feel relieved and move on.

I sit in a calm and quiet environment to reflect, pinpoint my weaknesses and rebuild myself.

What advice can you give us regarding patience?

The advice I will give is that no matter how tough life is, exercise patience because life is in phases. This goes with the adage that “only a patient dog can eat the fattest bone.”

If you have to achieve greatness in life, then you must exercise patience. Success cannot come without you being patient in life.

Therefore, I say never give up in life, but I encouraged you to be patient and rest assured that the end will be successful.
