Today, during my lunch break, I decided to visit a large construction hypermarket that I know, but I hadn’t been in for a long time. I didn’t expect to be surprised, but when I passed by a section with Christmas decorations, everything changed. The air immediately filled with Christmas spirit, and my eyes lit up with bright colors and lights :)
I couldn’t resist this Christmas temptation. All around me were different types of Christmas trees – from traditional coniferous ones to more unusual options made of paper. The issue of environmental friendliness is important to me, so these paper Christmas trees seemed like an excellent idea, especially in view of our desire to reduce unnecessary consumption of plastic.
A veritable kingdom of decorations was set up around the trees. There were an incredible number of lights - in a variety of colors and shapes. They were arranged in beautiful garlands, reminiscent of the holiday magic that is approaching. Thematic decorations were also arranged on the shelves - Christmas wreaths, silver and gold Rudolph reindeer, cinnamon men, as well as models of small houses that seemed to come straight from a Christmas fairy tale.
This experience made me think about my plans for the upcoming Christmas. I approach the holiday season with a smile and impatience. At that moment, I realized that this Christmas will be different from the previous ones – I will try to create a warm and cozy atmosphere at home. I plan to decorate the Christmas tree with my family with lots of lights and handmade decorations, create a small Christmas scene with model houses and light scented candles that will fill the house with the smell of cinnamon and vanilla :))
I want to spend more time with my loved ones, and I plan to organize a small family dinner with my favorite dishes. I hope we have plenty of time to enjoy each other's company, laugh, and exchange gifts. For me, this Christmas will be a chance to step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, to enjoy the little things, and to create new memories that will warm my heart throughout the coming season.
This year I will try to be more conscious in choosing gifts - I will focus on things that have emotional value and are related to shared time, and not only the material aspect. These holidays will be a chance to express my gratitude to family and friends by giving them attention, love and comfort.
The Christmas spirit I felt today inspired me to start preparations with a smile and a desire for holiday magic. Now I feel even more ready for a Christmas that will be filled with joy, warmth, and shared moments :)

I admit that I don't have a special relationship with Christmas, especially not in the traditional sense. But I do love the atmosphere with lights and candles, the scent of pine, the smell of cinnamon and baked apples. I associate it with cosiness and comfort, peace and relaxation. A mulled wine to go with it - delicious! For me, consumerism doesn't fit in at all, I tend to give presents without an occasion rather than on a fixed schedule. And the decorating craze, which is also becoming more and more prevalent in this country with plastic and bright flashing lights, quickly turns me into a Grinch ;-))
