Introduction

Hello beautiful people, how are you, I hope great. We are already into week2 day-6 of the engagement challenge and it's an honor participating in this community once more. The contest this week is talking about Mi Astucia Scout. It all involves recycling which is an important activities we should always carry out so as to help in protecting the earth

We all know the importance of recycling which turns to benefit and protect our environment. Now talking about the meaning of recycling, it is that act of converting waste materials in to a re-usabel material. They are some waste materials that can still help us in life if we can fixed them back into a resources

This explain why today, I will be showing you how I made a waste container into a useful one which have now benefited me alot since I turn it into a seedbed and a starter pot for planting my food crops. This shows that I had reused the container in a different way. I will explain the procedures below

My Scout Cunning

Materials

  • 👉 plastic container
  • 👉 A Knife 🗡️
  • 👉 Fire
  • 👉 water
  • 👉 ground
  • 👉 Seeds
Procedure

Step1

IMG_20220617_171203_695.jpg

We have to make sure the available plastic container is there. As you can see above, the container had long spoil which could not be used again. I had to pick it up from a trash so that I could make use of it since I was planning to make seedbeds which the plastic container will be of high help to me

Step2

IMG_20220617_173514_136.jpg

IMG_20220617_173528_270.jpg

I had to look for means and cut the container and divide it into two. Since it's a plastic container which is extremely very difficult to curt, what I did is that I made fire and heated a knife under. Any time the knife was very hot, I will remove it and cut the container with it. I repeated the process by continuing heating the knife and cutting the container until I finally divided the container into two

Step 3

IMG_20220617_180034_300.jpg

IMG_20220617_180147_454.jpg

As you can see above, I finally cut the container and divided it into two. I will now make good use of it so that I can form my seedbed with it

Step5

The next step here is to backfill the plastic container with available fertile red soil for easy easy and quick germination of your seeds.

IMG_20220617_180436_678.jpg

I had to fill the container with red soil. After feeling it, I watered it so that it becomes moisturized and wet since

Step5

IMG_20220617_181523_682.jpg

The last step here is to is to plan our seeds in the seedbed. After planting it, you make sure you place it under where there will be average sunlight reaching it for maintenance of temperature. Also make sure to always water it anytime it's getting dry so as to maintain its humidity level

IMG_20220617_182140_444.jpg

As you can see below. I have other seedbeds at home which I produced them out of unused tires and containers. I had to reuse them by making my seedbeds which have yielded me good fruits because I have constantly been harvest my crops from this seedbed which had long grown and produce eatable crops such as leeks, water leaf, spices and tomatoes.

Hello friend what a good use you have put that plastic container to.

If for every container or plastic container that is thrown away we had a landfill our present and future would be different.

I wish you success in the contest

My guy you never seize to amaze me joor, I am proud seeing you produced something that would make the dear plant grow easily and happily. You did a great job by providing a place and home to a living organism, me and the plant kingdom will always remain greatful 😎.

Thanks for sharing

Thank you for the appreciating my recycle work brother. Atleast it's an act of protecting the earth while we use the opportunity to make seedbeds which we can plant a variety of crops or flowers

Realizaste un matero o mini huerto de hortalizas con un bidón viejo, estos son muy útiles por su tamaño, porque en el puedes plantar varias planteas en un solo sitio. Incluso verduras como el ñame o la papa. Veo que tienes tomates también. 1_20210401_152726_0000.png
