Good Steemians how are you all doing today, I love to appreciate @fjjrg for organising this contest which says 59th STORY WRITING COMPETITION. / Impromptu trip!

I will be completing the story below with my knowledge.

Emily and Benjamín are a young couple, dating for about 4 years. They are both journalists and like adventures, the outdoors, and living life to the fullest. On the weekend they had planned to go to the beach, a simple round trip. As they head out to the beach, they hear on the news that due to the approach of a tropical storm the beaches are closed. Benjamín laughs and looking at Emily changes course.

Emily asks him where they are going, that wasn't the way back home, to which Ben replies - Who said we were going back home? Today we are going to escape, I have a surprise for you...

The curves along the highway, which Benjamin was driving on at an incredible speed, was intimidating but the look of curiosity in Emily’s eyes showed she had no fear. There was a dark journey with storm clouds in the horizon and there seemed to be something evil lurking in the darkness. ”Where are we going?” she asked again raising her voice much to his amusement Its hard to tell whether she was looking forward to the trip or was afraid.

Indeed Benjamina, pulled a friendly smile at her in attempts to calm her down. “This will be so.Shall I explain it in detail? Just believe me, “

They continued on the journey for another hour and the countryside’s scenery changed from tiny towns near the sea to heavily-forested regions. Awhile later Benjamin brought the car onto a dirt pathway which extended into the dense forest.

Finally, he got out, and they went to a small log house hidden by tall trees from the rest of the world. ”This is where you and I have our secret place,” Benjamin echoed cheerfully pointing at the dark corner.

Emily's jaw dropped. The first shock of recognition in the script ‘This place can’t be real’ was written perfectly, as was the second question ‘How did you find this place?’

‘You don’t really think that I forgot how to spy on people?’ I asked dryly ‘I have my ways,’ he replied cheekily, winking at me. That being the case, it is important for us to get inside the house before it gets too chilly.

When they got inside the cabin they saw that the interior was beautiful and comfortable, the fire was crackling on the hearth. Emily roaming around, gazing at the sparsely furnished wooden interiors and the fresh scent lingering through the tangy smell of pine. Benjamin looked at her, smirking. It was memorable, for Benjamin watched her, a satisfied grin spreading across his face as he said,

“We could use a touch of the adventurous,” he commented and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. The second line is even stronger and more intimate: “To be somewhere that is distant from everything, and do it together with the girlfriend.”

“You know that you’ve done so well when you hear statements like this,” I told him before Emily smiled and put her arms around his neck. “It is great,” she murmured quietly to himself.

They dedicated the weekend being lost in the forest, trekking through the unknown trails to fallow hidden waterfalls, told stern tales by fire as the storm continued raging outside. Three mentioned their dreams, their fears, their future and with every word that came out from their lips they felt they were inching closer.

Finally, the clouds began to disappear with the faint sun shining through to show that this spur of the moment escape had been the best thing for them. It was not the beach trip they had anticipated but it was a trip of their lives they will not trade in their lifetime.

Jointly they got busy packing their car and said to themselves that they would be ready to fight all challenges of life as they understood that life had much more to offer, but together they could face everything.
