Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 13 Week 6: "A Christmas Story"

I would be participating today in this great community in the Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 13 Week 6

The terrain of Christmas swept the city in Nigeria, we all where in the spirit of Christmas. I would never miss the Christmas celebration here in Nigeria. I had great plans to carry out during the season. As I stretched on that faithful Christmas morning, the Belle's where already ringing and pleasant Christmas jams flooded the environment. I believed everyone loved the season too in my country. I got up from the bed and came out joyfully waking everyone up! "Christmas is upon us!" The joy in the family was so high and we all had plans for the season.

Furthermore, my Christmas would never be complete without the sharing of gifts and love amongst each other. After saying the prayers for the day, my phone buzzed and Yes! Amanda was calling me, my best friend and girlfriend, She sang me my favorite Christmas song and told me she had a special Christmas present for me, I love surprises already and I was promised a surprise gift too by my friend. I scoffed her telling her she is at her whining again but she told me I was in for the surprise of my life.

Moreso, the kitchen was buzzing with activities, pizza and chicken was what we where expecting, the Christmas songs where buzzing and finishing touches where being made at the Christmas tree, gifts where being wrapped by everyone for surprises and we couldn't as much as love the Christmas period any less! Amanda called again telling em that we would be having a date in the evening, precisely at 7:00 .p.m. I happily obliged and she promised to be in her Christmas wears too.

However, at the slated time for my date, I told my parents that I'll be leaving for an appointment, they allowed me and told me to come back in 3 hours time maximum. I got to the beautiful mall, called my lover and my heart leapt for joy when I saw her come out like a dazzling angel from the train she boarded. She shone like the stars in the sky! She loved me no less too. We walked into the KFC zone in the mall and got ourselves good chicken. We loved wines too and we ordered for some, renewed our vows and had several toasts, it was indeed a Christmas worth remembering.

Interestingly, she loves the rollercoaster and she forced me to get in too, I'm scared of heights lol...I finally agreed to join her in it, while we moved in the coaster, she asked me to look into the stars as she opened my gift for Christmas, after much persuasion I did same. I looked down where she asked and here was my gift starring me in the eye...A little reindeer staring at me...it whispered "Merry Christmas Mate!" What more could I ask for for Christmas. I loved the Christmas celebration so much. I returned home happier than ever, I look forward to a more interesting Christmas this year.
