The lie

Introduction
Greetings steemians, I'm john from Nigeria, it's my pleasure having you guys in this week contest "the lie" from #scouts-and-friends I decided to take part in this amazing contest to bring out my best.

Before I proceed straight to the contest questions I will like to us to know what is lie.. according to Merriam-Webster lie means to make an untrue statement with intent to deceive.
In my own understanding lie is an act of telling somebody what did not exist or happened or false witness against somebody or something in other to gain favour or trust from the person.

Have you ever had to lie, or have they lied to you and you knew it?

Yes I have lied some many times that's is times without number, when I was in JSS2 there is a day I didn't do my homework that day I went to play football with some friends in the field, when I came back home I was so tired that I didn't even remember we were given homework the next day i went to school very late because I couldn't finish my house chores on time, when I was about entering the classroom I saw our class monitor carrying books to the staff room and I ask him where is he taking the books to he told me it was the assignment that was given to us by our mathematics teacher yesterday that thank God I meet him I should come and submit mine before he will hand it over to our teacher thats when I remember that they gave us assignment so I just told him that he should go I will go and see the teacher later because I had some issues yesterday, when I got to the class I have to forg a lie that I was admitted in the hospital yesterday after school and discharged this morning that's is why I came late to school this morning when I taught of that it was okay for me and when he came to class after marking the books that was submitted, he now ask those of us that did not comply to come outside, after flooging everybody I was the last person when he ask for my reason why I didn't do the assignment I told him what I planned saying, immediately he started laughing I was surprised because I was expecting sorry but he told me am fooling and deceiving my self that he saw me playing football yesterday evening and I even scored two goals, immediately he changed his mood and ask me to lie down on the floor instead of the four stroke he flog others he gave me twelve for lying to him.

Is it true that there are professions or trades in which it is necessary to lie and others in which it should never be done?

Yes of course they are many professions or trades that requires lie, such as the police which often lie to find out the truths during investigation, politicians also lie during campaign in order to gain power over the people, salesmen and women also lie for their business to boom, other profession include artist and comedians who as well lie during their show and music

Do you prefer to hear a lie instead of a truth that hurts you?

I will go for the truth that hurts so that if they is any urgency I have to make I will make it as soon possible because most people what they fail to understand is that the truth will make you change your ways and also let you know that what you are doing is not good and take correction unlike lie which you may discover later and it will too late to cry when everything had already gone wrong something leads to danger and lost of lives as well.

Do you agree with those who say that the world would be a boring place if lies did not exist?
As for this I totally disagree that the world will be boring place if lies did not exist because lie is what we inherited from our past generation and also the way the child is brought up matters as well it is not every body that tells lie some people lie because they are used to it or because of the company they keep what am trying to prove is that if we all were not exposed to it, it wouldn't have been common like as it is now take for example during our fourfathers time they was nothing like power supply, mobile phones, and other things that technology has taken over now but they still lives longer without any problem but now how many of us can do that same as lie if we were not brought up like that it wouldn't have been our lifestyle.
