SEC - S8W6. "the first time"

Hello friends, it feels good to be here once again making an entry into this contest. I deemed it fit to also share my thoughts about this topic. I do hope that you enjoy every bit of this write up. Kindly tag along guys even as I present using the guidelines for the contest.

We all started out in life taking our very first step which in most cases came with a great feeling, while the reverse is the case for some. However the experience has in a way shaped us and helped us get better. For some of us those very first moment has left imprint that can't be forgotten in our life time.

Tell us about the first time you won a prize or contest.

---

It's was such a beautiful experience. Well I was much younger then. These are days back then in school. I was doing pretty fine then and even now..lol. Although I wasnt taking the first position per say but am usually struggling between the second and the third position.

I can remember vividly during one of our end of session party at school I was called upon to come take up a prize for taking one of those positions...of course the first position was always reserved for one girl in our class who we all strived to overtake but all to no avail.

Ever since, I have won so many prized, awards of recognition and appreciation of all kind. The feeling is always the same no matter how little the prize is. The last of it kind I got is as captured below.

I felt really honoured receiving this. I also consider it a show of love as it also shows that one is valued and appreciated for all one has been done so far.

When was the first time you had a cell phone, did you get it as a gift or did you buy it?

---

I got the first phone I ever used about 11 year ago,that's quite a long time...lols. . The phone was not really a sophisticated one like we have today, it was not a "screen touch" model with a wide screen. I think the highest features on the phone then were it FM radio, SD card/Multimedia and then Bluetooth.

It was as though I was on top of the world as at that time. I didn't actually buy the phone myself, it was a gift from my Dad. He just decided to buy it for me then just so he could get in touch with me anytime he wants to. Another reason was because he loved me and wanted the best for me as his first Son... You know that father kind or love for sons..lol

Funny enough the phone was a "China phone" with the name Mini. It was indeed a mini phone because it's very portable and handy. It was later on I got another phone for myself, a Nokia C3 phone via my hard earned monthly contribution.

What did you buy with your first paycheck or your first paycheck?

My first paycheck never got me what I wanted to get get, it took me more than my first paycheck to get me my first Android phone called Legoo M8. I was a primary school teacher then and my pay was not really fat infact it's hardly enough even to scale through the month.

So I had to take a percentage off my monthly pay until it was enough to get me my first Android phone. I got it for N22,000 (steems) in total from an online store called Jumia and that was about 7 years ago.I thank God the rest is history today, we are no more where we used to be.

Share with us a first time that was special to you.

There is always a first time to everything we do. One of the first time that was special to me was when I started out with my skill, graphic design. Actually I started out as a novice with little or no knowledge. I just went into it hoping to get better someday.

I bet you don't want to see the designs I made in my early days in design even though I lost most of them. I cherish the very first time I took that bold step to venture into that field. Its a different ball game today because I have learnt and become better at what I do. Below are few of the little things I do on the platform.
