I hope everything is going well. Thanks to Allah I am also fine. Today I am here to share with you about the topic of Homeless people. Thank you to Scouts and their Friends for selecting this topic for discussion.
A home is where we live feel safe and fit in. It's where we're comfortable make memories and spend time with family and friends. It's more than just a house it gives us emotional and mental peace helps shape who we are and provides stability in our live not just a roof over our heads.
Are there homeless people in your country?
Yes Pakistan has a lot of homeless people especially in cities. This is mainly because of poverty, lack of job and expensive housing. In rural areas homelessness is less common because people usually have family to help them. There are in both cities and villages but it's more common and visible in cities.
Many of these city homeless live on the streets and beg for money. Some also have mental health issues or use drugs. It's really sad to see them living like this. The government and NGOs are trying to help by giving them shelters and healthcare, but the problem is still big specially in cities.
What do you think is the cause that leads these people to be on the streets, homeless and without family?
One common reason people become homeless and end up on the streets is losing their job. Without saving or support they struggle to pay for housing and can become stress leading to homelessness. Family conflicts and breakdowns can also cause people to leave their homes and become homeless. Other factors include mental health issues, substance abuse and domestic violence.
Losing a job or having low pay makes it tough to afford a place to live. Health problem and drug use can make it hard to keep a job and have stable relationships. Violence at home can make people especially women and kids leave for safety.
Each person situation is different and many things can lead to homelessness. To help we need to provide cheap housing, healthcare, job opportunities and support to help people get back on their feet and be part of society again.
Has the government tried to treat or create decent shelters to help these people?
Yes the government of Pakistan along with various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) has taken steps to address homelessness by providing shelter and services to help these people. Imran Khan the Prime Minister of Pakistan, initiated the "Naya Pakistan Housing Program" as part of his government efforts to provide affordable housing to low-income families across the country including in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province. The program aims to construct affordable housing units and facilitate home ownership for those who cannot afford to buy a house through conventional means.
The Naya Pakistan Housing Program is a big effort to help homeless and low-income people get affordable homes. The government wants to reduce homelessness and make life better for those who can't afford a house. Apart from the government program NGOs and other groups are also working to give shelters and support to homeless people in pakistan.
What could you propose so that these people do not continue in this dark world?
I believe that we should help homeless people by supporting them, providing financial asistance and offering counseling if possible. If a woman is homeless due to domestic violence we should assist her and help raise her voice. For low-income individuals who cannot afford their own homes but can pay rent we can help by reducing their rent instead of taking advantage of their situation.
If a child leaves home due to strictness we should provide counselling for the child and if the parents are at fault they should also be educated and counseled. Its important to create a supportive environment where children feel safe and understood. Family counseling can help address the issues causing the child to leave home and work toward resolving family conflicts.
If someone is homeless because of drug use we need to help them quit drugs with treatment and rehab. By help them beat their addiction they can have a better chance to get back on their feet find a home and get a job. Counselling and support can also help them stay stable and healthy. Along with treatment offering financial and emotional support service can help them regain stability and find stable housing and employment. Many ngos provide financial assistance to help people overcome challnges like homelessness, addiction and other issue.
I would like to invite my friends @uzma4882 @hamzayousafzai and @m-fdo to take part in the challenge.

Hello friend, You've outlined some significant factors that contribute to homelessness. Losing a job can quickly lead to housing instability, especially if individuals don't have sufficient savings or support systems in place. Family conflicts and breakdowns can also force people out of their homes, often with nowhere to go.
Mental health issues and substance abuse are other common causes of homelessness. Individuals struggling with these challenges may find it difficult to maintain stable housing and may not have access to adequate support or treatment options. Domestic violence is another major factor, as people escaping abusive situations often find themselves without a safe place to go.
