Language, I must say, is a gift of nature. Learning different languages is even more fun for some who love expanding their vocabulary.
Over time I have learnt the importance of learning and understanding other languages other than one's native dialect. The unity it brings, the social belonging it confers, to mention but a view.
How many languages do you speak? Which of them is the native and which ones have you studied?
I speak a total of 4 languages, and these include, English, ibibio, pidgin, french.
Ibibio is my native language, over time of course english, pidgin and french were studied. Basically I grew up to speak ibibio as I was obviously living in the environment and is the language my parents speak.
While the rest of the languages which I speak today were all learnt in various ways I will explain in my writeup.
What methods have you used to learn other languages?
While in school growing up, I was thought english language as a course as well as a little of french. This of course built my knowledge and helped me understand better what the languages entailed.
Well the knowledge I received then was basic and so I needed to learn further even taking additional courses to improve my vocabulary.
I took up diction classes to see how well I can improve my vocabulary and it really went well for me. Pidgin was learnt in the environment in which I lived. I had friends around in my neighborhood who would speak nothing other than pidgin while conversing at any time.
Well at first we didn’t exactly welcome the use of this language in conversation but overtime, everyone around got used to it and we began learning. I got used to it and I now speak the language fluently.
In addition to the ones you already speak, what other language would you like to learn?
I would like to learn Spanish and latin. These two languages have always been a thing for me. I'd love to communicate with my Spanish friends in their own language instead of using the translator. Most times, if we notice, the translator won't exactly convey the meaning and true feelings of the original text.
What do you consider to be the most difficult thing about learning another language?
One of the most difficult aspects is pronouncing and mastering unfamiliar sounds. In Fact some sounds can be so strange you'd be really struggling to pronounce accurately.

Why do you think it is important to master several languages?
Mastering several languages will help one to communicate with a broader range of people. One can also have wider insight into diverse cultural practices and traditions.
Many employers now employ individuals with multilingual abilities, knowing how to speak multiple languages can give a good plus to such individuals.
I'll love to invite @kay-owobia @jereblak @josepha to join this challenge.

Spanish is a great language, actually I consider it easy to learn, putting effort to it will help you achieve it.
Knowing different languages is very good, it's true it can be difficult to master some phrases especially how to pronounce them in another language, and when we try we may sound funny, lolz. But as we know, practice makes perfect and everything takes gradual steps...
Best wishes!

So true that practice makes perfect!! I remember in my basic french classes, the words were so funny to pronounce because I was so unfamiliar with them. With time I studied to improve.
With gradual steps I'll learn even more languages

Que bueno que hayas entendido la importancia de aprender otros idiomas y no solo conformarte con hablar y dominar tu lengua nativa. El hecho de que puedas dominar los idiomas ibibio, pidgin, francés y el inglés es una gran ventaja, ya que no todas las personas pueden nisiquiera habla un segundo idioma y tú hablas 4.
