SEC - Season 5, Week 3 : My Favorite Celebration of the Year

Good Evening all My Friends here. A great opportunity for me to get to know this great Scouts y sus Amigos Community. Because there is a great program from Steemit namely Steemit Engagement Challenge, it makes me very happy to be among all of you here in this great Community.

The year 2022 has been a beautiful year for my family, although in 2022 I have also experienced some obstacles and trials in my life journey, especially in my economic life which is a little less fortunate because my work location is far from the city where I live.

Even so, there is one of my favorite celebrations this year, namely the Indonesian Independence Day Celebration which is celebrated on August 17, 2022. Why is that….? Because my daughter was chosen as one of the students who joined the Indonesian Independence Day Flag Raising Troop.

The election of my daughter because of her good school achievements was also chosen from thousands of students selected by the Aceh Provincial Government to join as the Red and White Flag Raising troops on the celebration of Indonesia's independence day.

Below I will tell you how festive Indonesia's Independence Day celebration was after 2 years of not having a celebration since the Corona disease outbreak (Covid-19).

August 17th is a special day awaited by all Indonesian people to remember the history of the struggle of the Indonesian people to achieve Independence to become a sovereign nation.

If you look back at the history of Indonesian Independence, Aceh Province has a very important role in achieving this independence. We should never forget this history because history is a basic guideline for achieving the progress of a nation in the future.

After the peace agreement between the Government of Indonesia and the Province of Aceh, almost every year I received an invitation to celebrate independence day because at that time I was one of the Secretary Generals of a well-known political party in Aceh, the Aceh Party, moreover the Regent of North Aceh Regency and the Mayor of Lhokseumawe City were my colleagues. .

But this year I received a special invitation from the Regional Government of Aceh Province to take part in the commemoration of Indonesian Independence Day on August 17, 2022 at Hiraq Field, Lhokseumawe City. This special invitation is because one of the members of the Red and White Heritage Flag (Paskibraka) is my daughter who was chosen.

My daughter is one of 2 students who represent Lhokseumawe City to participate in the National Paskibraka selection in Aceh Province. The total number of students selected and joined as a team is 60 high school students. These were selected from thousands of high school schools in Aceh Province.

As a parent, I am very proud of my daughter's achievement, because I know that the selection process is very strict by participating in grueling training for almost 3 full months in the hot sun, with a semi-military training system, which is trained by members of the 0103 Kodim Army.

Since the occurrence of Covid-19, the commemoration ceremony on August 17 had stopped its excitement, some were even held online. This year's Independence Day celebrations are back in full swing, with the motto of the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia (77th Indonesian Independence Day), namely Recover Faster, Rise Stronger.

The festivities of this ceremony were attended by thousands of participants consisting of TNI soldiers from Korem 011 Lilawangsa, members of Kodim 0103, Regents and Mayors as well as service heads, staff and members of civil servants from various government agencies and members of the police who served in Lhokseumawe City and North Aceh. by teachers and student representatives from all schools in Lhokseumawe City and North Aceh.

Meanwhile, the Red and White flag raising troops (Paskibraka) are high school students from Lhokseumawe City and Aceh who passed the selection from all high schools in Lhokseumawe City and North Aceh as many as 60 people, which were divided into 2 groups.

The first group is 30 people who are in charge of the flag raising ceremony in the morning and the second group is 30 people who are in charge of the flag lowering ceremony in the afternoon. My daughter was in the first group in charge of the red and white flag raising ceremony in the morning.

The students who passed this selection were then trained and trained by the Military for 90 days from early May from morning to evening, until they were well trained to carry out the raising of the Red and White flag on the Commemoration of Indonesian Independence Day on August 17, 2022.

This Independence Day Commemoration Ceremony took place solemnly for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. After that, the invited guests watched the Marching Band and some regional dances performed by the sons and daughters of Lhokseumawe students. Meanwhile, the Paskibraka troops returned to the Kodim military headquarters.
