Introduction

We welcome you to yet another writing contest by fur-friends community. We thank our dear subscribers for continuing to publish pet and animal related content in this community. We now present you with another contest that gives you the opportunity to share your content with us. This contest is called "Local beliefs about certain pets/animals."

What is the contest all about?

There beliefs about certain pets/animals in one place or another. For example, some people look at the owl as evil and treat it as such. In other places, certain animals are viewed as bringing good fortunes to the owner. These beliefs affect how some pets and animals are viewed and treated. So we want to learn about your area. How do people view certain animals and pets? How does it affect the way they are treated?

How to Participate

Select any 3 Pets/animals and write a post with this topic: Local beliefs about 3 pets/animals in (Lagos or Abia state, Nigeria) mention the city or state and country where you are writing from. Your story must be original. Be detailed too. Your story should contain the following information:

1. Under each pet/animal, discuss the local beliefs that people have about them.
2. Also write how such belief influence how people treat such pet/animal. Do it for the 3 pets/animals selected
3. If you have original images include them. If no original pictures are available, you can get pictures from pixabay or other free sites, but be sure to put the source.

4. Your entry must be at least 350 characters. Be detailed.
5. Publish your post in Fur-friends community and use the first tag fur-friends

The Prize

The total prize for this contest is 22.5 Steem. We will reward the first 15 entries that participated according to the rules with 1.5 Steem each, plus votes from steemalive for the first 10 entries.

Additional bonus for exceptional entries = 0.5 steem (Given at our discretion)

This contest will end as soon as the contest post pays out (7 days from now)
