I finally had the chance to help a couple of sweet Labrador Retrievers on their journey from shelter dogs to a new foster (and hopefully forever adopter) family here in Arizona.

Being given up by their owners in Texas meant that they had a bleak future but the great people at the Southwest Oasis Lab Rescue came through and found a family for them here in Arizona. Now they can hopefully have many, many happy years with new and loving people. So happy to have spent those few hours with them on their "freedom ride" in AZ. Best wishes my furry friends!!!
Unfortunately at the same time I am saddened to learn of the passing of dear Molly, another Lab that I helped on her rescue for being abandoned and left tied inside her old home in Nevada until saved by the SW Lab rescue back in November. She was found to have an aggressive tumor that couldn't be treated but was adopted and lived the last few months of her otherwise tough and neglected life with a family that loved and adored her. She passed peacefully yesterday.
