Hello to all my Steemian friends. Guess it's time to officially introduce my sweet dog Lulu here on Fur-friends.
My name is David Holt (@ultratrain) and I'm a retired Emergency Department nurse here in the United States. I previously was living in New Mexico but now my lovely wife Linda and I now spend our time living and travelling in a motorhome (RV) and volunteering our time. Currently we are in Arizona until things settle down after Covid-19.
But enough about me - so let me tell you about my sweet little girl LULU
Lulu was a stray who came into our life while we were volunteering down on the Texas coast 3 years ago
We found her hiding under our motorhome - a cold, wet and scared little pup. We spent several days looking for an owner or notice of a lost dog but no one came forward and she had no tags or microchip.
She quickly settled into our family and when we couldn't find her owners (and we didn't want to put her in a shelter) she became our sweet Lulu.
Here are her details.
AGE - Lulu is about 4 years old now as we think she was 1 year old or so when we found her.
BREED - probably an English Shepherd mix or bit of a Border Collie mixed in. Who knows for sure as she was a stray.
HEALTH STATUS - very healthy girl
BEHAVIOR - Lulu is a very friendly dog but she prefers humans over other dogs. She ha s a Texas-sized personality and her day isn't complete unless she goes to our nearby neighborhood dog parks so that she can see her human and canine friends
as well as to make sure the other dogs aren't misbehaving or fighting with each other. She much prefers humans (especially children) and loves nothing better than to get loving from people.
The only activity better is being out exploring with her daddy (or stalking squirrels!!).
Right from the start she was devoted to her "big sister" Bella - our old yellow Lab who died last Winter. How she missed Bella after her passing. Dear Bella was her mentor and constant companion.
And she loves showing off her big Texas voice - even first thing in the morning!!
Since Lulu came into our lives during the Chinese Year of the Dog I guess she is our blessing and I truly feel blessed by her every single day.
I hope you have enjoyed my post about Lulu and I'm glad to be a part of the wonderful Fur-friends community.
Peace and Love to you All.
