National Puppy Day is a day designed to celebrate our special best friend: the cutest and adorable puppies. Today they get a royal treatment, with a thorough cuddling and belly rub. Statistics has shown that having one or more pets keeps us healthier, happier and longer life span. With their playful nature, they are always sure to keep you on your feet. For me, their cute eyes and smile is everything, one look at them and you can't help smiling away at them.

Today dogs of different breed and species is celebrated and most are put up for adoption which is organized by Animal Shelters in different states and country.

They are great especially for new born babies. These dogs are in tune with the feelings, breaths, activities of the baby. Most dogs if trained well knows the schedule of everything that should be down in a day. They know when to eat, take drugs or nap. They know when a child's health is not in tune with they are used to and also know where to get these drugs.

Dogs are known to be the best listener and therapist one can get. They listen to all your secrets, problems, trouble. You just know they would take your secrets to the grave without breathing a word to anyone. They are attentive to one's emotions.
