The Computers are basically made of Hardware,Software and Firmware components. The afore-listed are basically independent and work without depending on the other. I would be talking about the computer hardware on my blog today.

The Computer Hardware are the physical parts of the computer, which we can see feel and touch when carrying out our respective functions. The computer hardware is made up of ;

• System unit
• Monitor
• Mouse
• Keyboard.

The above listed are very important without which the computer system cannot function properly.

• SYSTEM UNIT

The System unit is made up of the motherboard and the processing unit. The motherboard is known as the spine of the computer. This is because it contains all the circuit connection needed in the computer.

The processing unit is the brain of the computer. It controls all internal and external devices attached and principally the arithmetic and logic operations. This is the device that senses every touch or action on the system decodes it and sends signal to parts responsible to start operation while it supervises the action.

• MONITOR

This is a visual assistant in which users can see what the computer has processed. On instances of monitor being switched off the processing of the computer continues but no visual feedback would be received, except the monitor is turned on.

Monitors exists in various sizes, and shapes. They could be flat concave or convex. Monitors with knobs or buttons are called analog monitors while monitors without knobs or buttons are called digital monitors.

• THE MOUSE

The mouse is a device used to guide users round the monitor with ease. The mouse comes in different shapes. The mouse has 2 buttons basically. The left button is for action click. A mouse could be left handed or right handed.

• KEYBOARD

This is the primary input device which communicates the command to the computer. The keyboard has various components and various keys arranged in each category of function. They are thus;

• Number keys
• Function keys
• Special or typing keys
• Alpha keys
• Navigation or movement keys
