What is Arduino?

Arduino is an open source electronic platform which is user friendly and most commonly used in electronics and programming. Arduino boards are used to read input such as light on a sensor, touch on a button, etc and produces output. In the current era, it is very popular among students of information technology because they make their projects based on arduino. A user can use arduino board to produce his or her desired output by sending instruction to the microcontroller on the board with the help of Arduino Programming Language which based on wiring and the Arduino Software which based on processing.

Why choose Arduino ?

Arduino software is now trending in the domain of computer science as well as electronics. It is the brain of thousands of projects. It runs on Mac, Windows and Linux.. Teachers also recommend this user-friendly software to their students because of some of these reasons:

  • Inexpensive:

The main reason is that it is comparitively afordable as compared to other electronis & programming softwares, and at such low price you get brilliant features which make it easy to use for user.
  • Open Source And Extensible Software:

This software is launched as open source softawre. The word open source means that anyone can extend its feature. Basically it is very helpful for advanced level programmers as they can extend the software using C++ language and they can also add AVR-C code into their Arduino programs whenever they want.
  • Cross-Platforms:

A very big reason for higher recommendation is that arduino software(IDE) can run on different platforms unlike other softwares which only run on Windows.
  • User-Friendly Environment:

It is very easy to use and provides a very friendly interface to its user, which also attracts beginners. It is based on the Processing programming environment.

Where should you use Arduino ?

Arduino boards are used in a variety of domains for example: In Robotics, Internet of Things(IOT), adding Audio to projects, Data Logging, Networking, GPS, Tinkering, Medical, etc.

Features Of Arduino Boards

Arduino boards use following :
  1. Operating voltage of 5V
  2. Input voltage ranges from 6V to 20V
  3. 14 Digital input/output pins
  4. 6 Analog i/p pins
  5. DC current of 40mA for each pin
  6. Flash memory of 32KB
  7. SRAM of 2KB
  8. 1KB EEPROM
  9. 16MHz CLK speed

Conclusion:

After going through all of the above basic information about Arduino, we can say that in today's era of technology every student should know about some basic information of arduino that how it works? , where it can be used? , what are its capabilities? which I try to convey to you all in my post. It doesn't depend upon whether you are an engineering student or some IT student, it only depends upon your interest towards technology and if someone has keen interest towards technology and emerging science he or she must have a know how of things which moves around technology in the current period.

THANKYOU ALL

For reading my post , I hope now you have a basic knowledge of Arduino if you haven't.
