Roof Maintenance after the Rain drops

Carryout a project that was not scheduled for is very painful but for life to go on, some basic needs of life should be accomplished.

Last night after the rain drops, there was a strong rushing wind that blew off some roofs in my local area. Immediately this took place, my room was uncomfortable for me because of the drops of the rain.

Because of this, there was a need for roof maintenance this morning being 12/07/2022. I had to make provisions for new sheet of zinc and a carpenter that will do the maintenance.

The 1 sheet of zinc cost is #1,400 and the work man collected #1,000 for his workmanship. This is what i didn't planed for but thank God it's fine now.

This incident also occurred in my neighboring environment too as some of the pictures can be seen below:

As you can see, my neighbors roof too were also pull out and each person's roof was changed at exact place where the wind destroyed.

Immediately our lodge was completely prepared, other lodges where the wind destroyed also came for the carpenter and this was a great way for the carpenter to make money this morning.

Ikom local government area is always full of storming wind and whenever this occurred, many houses would be pull out especially in my street. This is because there is no special tree in the area that can hold the wind.

Before now, there were different trees in the area and this trees help to keep the wind not to destroy the roofs but since those trees were pull off in place of building a house, the track has been a major road for wind destruction.

Conclusion

Planting of major trees in your environment is very essential like the bomba tree, pear, mango tree and so on, is a great way of reducing the wind storm and also for protection of the entire house.

Lack of trees in my local environment has caused a lot of damages to people roof last night.
