Hello everyone, I hope we are all doing good? Today I bring to you another great tutorial on how to play MKV files on our iPhones.

Let’s say you download a movie from telegram or the internet but can’t play it on your iPhone, this is because the movie is in an MKV format. Just like MP4 and AVI, MKV is a multimedia file format that contains unlimited number of subtitles, audio and videos in one file. This is why MKV is a favorite choice for most movie lovers.

HOW TO PLAY MKV FILES ON OUR iPHONES.

IOS doesn’t support MKV video files and can only play MP4, M4V and others video formats. Most of us might have experienced that when trying to play some MKV file video formats downloaded from telegram or other sources from the network.

The hardware of iPhone is capable enough to run MKV files, but just that it needs a compatible app to be able to play the MKV files on your iPhone. Fortunately we have VLC Media Player which is a free app we can use to easily play an MKV file on our iPhones.

Using this free app, we don’t necessarily need to download our files on a computer and later convert the MKV files to MP4.

• Visit App Store on your ISO device and search for VLC

• Tap on get now to install the application.

• Wait for the app to download and install automatically.

• Navigate to to find your MKV videos stored on our device.

• Long-press the MKV file and tap Share from the options.

• Navigate through the list of apps in the Share and open the MKV file video format with VLC.

• That is all, the video will automatically start playing in VLC.
