SIZ Tutorial || How To Use Find My IPhone On iCloud.com To Locate Your Apple Devices

Hello everyone, today I bring to you another exciting and great tutorial. Yes today we are going to going to be using Find My iPhone on iCloud.com to keep track of all our Apple devices and to find them when they get lost.

I always find post about how to locate lost android devices but never came across one showing how to locate Apple device, so today we are going to be learning something new.

STEPS TO SIGN INTO ICLOUD.COM

Let’s get started. Below are the steps to follow.

Vist iCloud.com/find.

You will be required to enter your details so you sign in with your Apple ID and password you used to set up your Apple device for Find My iPhone.

After signing in you may be asked to enter a code that was sent to your trusted device. To continue without entering the code, you tap on Find iPhone button Or “Or get quick access to”.

STEPS TO LOACTE A PHONE ON ICLOUD.COM

Using Find My IPhone on iCloud, we can find the appropriate locate of your apple product if Find My iPhone is active and the device is ON.

After Visiting iCloud.com and signing in with your iCloud and password.

After signing in, your list of Devices will located below the map. Tap the device you want to find. But here on mine I have only two devices.

If a device can be located on Find My IPhone, it appears on the map so you can see it’s location.

If a device cannot be located on Find My IPhone, you will see Offline under the device’s name. The last known location of the device will be displayed for up to 24 hours. Tap Notify When the device is found to get an email when it is located.

To locate another device, tap the Close button to return to the Devices list, then select a new device.

UPDATE ON HOW TO USE THE MAP

Below are the ways;

To move the map: swipe.
To zoom in: pinch open.
To zoom out: pinch closed.
To update the location: tap the Close button to return to the Devices list, then tap Refresh.

HOW TO PLAY A SOUND TO FIND YOUR LOST APPLE DEVICE

If it happens you left your phone at your work place or room and you can’t remember the actual place you kept it, you can use Find My IPhone on iCloud to play a sound on the device you are looking for.

You just have to tap Play Sound.

If your device is online, a sound will be played abs gradually increases in volume. This sound plays for 2 minutes.
If your device is offline, the sound will be pending until your device to a mobile network or Wi-Fi.

After the sound is been plays, a confirmation email will be sent to your Apple ID email address

HOW DO YOU KNOW YOUR DEVICE IS ONLINE OR OFFLINE

The below image will be used to differentiate a device that is online or offline.

A green dot 🟢 means your device is online.
A gray dot ⚪️ means your device is offline.
