Introduction

My fellow steemians,
I am so delighted to be part of this noble contest organized by this amazing community @siz-official. This is really a wonderful contest because I will get to share with us all about my home town. Fellow me as I bring you to my wonderful home town.

Fellow steemians, by way of introduction, I welcome you all to Wukari a local government area in Taraba State Nigria. My home town is Wukari. A land blessed by God himself. Though in the past few years, Wukari as a town has passed through many difficulties ranging from religious crisis, ethinic crisis and more just to mention but a few. But despite all this the town has grown even better than usual.

Places to Visit

There are numerous places to visit in Wukari, but for the sake of this contest I will be mentioning just very few.

• Central Mosque
• Biggest Church
• Federal University Wukari
• Yam Market

Central Mosque

Wukari is a religious town and we have both the Muslim faithful and the Christain faithful. Since the last religious crisis, the leaders came up together in agreement to be their brothers keeper. The image above shows the biggest mosque in Wukari local government. It's really a place to visit.

Biggest Church

Just as we have the biggest mosque, we also have the biggest church in Wukari. Despite all the crisis in Wukari, it has never affected this church because it's always guided by the youths of the church. The image above shows the Christain Reformed Church of God (CRCN) which was built in the late 70's. It is the oldest church in Wukari.

Federal University Wukari

This University was established in the year 2011. It is the only higher institution that is present in Wukari local government. Before this time we go out to other states for studies but since this school came in most of our people have been given admission here in Wukari.

Yam Market

Wukari is known for it production of yam. Most people all over the country and beyond trip in to wukari on daily basis to buy yam for either sales or their consumption.

Cost of food and accommodation

The cost of living here in wukari is very low. As a matter of fact, you can get a single room for as low as 60 steem for a year. Same goes to the cost of food stuffs. A plate of food goes for about 2 steem.
