I'm a big fan of chromed objects. It has a rare quality of a better-looking silver finish. And it's also easy to make nowadays. A simple wood sculpture can be turned to a smooth looking metal sculpture using chrome spray paint. If it's for the eyes to inspect then we can't even tell the difference when done right. And there are so many varieties of chrome spray paint that you can get at a local hardware or paint shop. My favorite brand is RJ London's line of metal spray paints.
For 3D sake, I have prepared a visual of a metal sculpture that I call "Silver Panther" and it bears the chrome finish that I wanted to achieve. To make it a reality, I'm getting a local sculptor to make me a wooden version of it and it's up to me to cover it entirely with chrome. In this process, I prefer using a spray method.
