Not wanting to downplay the necessity of essential service workers rising to the challenge before us with this ongoing pandemic, this is a creative work which is my therapeutic outlet, these are merely my thoughts as I conduct myself as one of you delivering food for Skip The Dishes.
Business Not As Usual...

Social Distancing; A term not well known before 2020 but I dare say, will not be forgotten soon!
Before us is a time to which many suggest to be unprecedented on nearly all levels. All conspiracy aside one thing can be said for certain, seemingly overnight the world has changed! What was once before us in a world of glorious infinite provisions and opportunities now seemingly destined to never be the same....
WHAT | IF? |
| Come On In, Follow The Arrows, No Freedom, Do Not Touch Anything! Stepping into Red Robin we see them doing as instructed with new "Social Distancing" bylaws according to recent government Covid-19 interventions. Unlike in the article Vancouver suspends downtown Tim Hortons licence for violating B.C.'s COVID-19 order we see a Tim Hortons trying to carry on "business as usual" and getting shut down aka business license suspended. This is how enforcement will be done effectively |
Everybody Single File, One Person At A Time, Social Distancing! Strict rules have been put in place as stated B.C. bars, clubs must close; restaurants to either close or move to takeout and delivery which have only been further tightened since. We see in the image that Red Robin has had to put tape on the floor to ensure that if any transgressions happen it is fault of the customer and not the restaurants failure to follow new bylaws. Reasons are One in 10 restaurants are now closed forever — and many say the industry will never be the same very concerning to say the least.
| No Cash Accepted, Keep Your Distance, Contact-less! In this image again at Red Robin we see that a gentleman is trying to simply pay for his food but wishes not to use cash. This business does not support his card as he is from out of country and must go get cash to pay for the order sitting right in-front of him simply because a pen is not allowed to be handed back and forth to sign for the transaction? They insisted on only being allowed to use the contactless card reader for Canadian business or typical Debit Machine all with a large bubble between workers and customers. |
Get Your Order, Do Not Linger, Follow The Arrows! Everything is very forward as if people are generally incompetent... wait... I do agree we are pretty stupid for the most part! Not even allowed to sit and wait for the 15 minutes my delivery took to prepare during the chaos. Each restaurant is now understaffed and over run with orders that require extra work getting them out the door. Here is a look into what all this means for Restaurant Operators On Life Before, During And After COVID-19.
| Do Not Sit, No Washroom Access, Get The Fuck Out! Side effects of these precautions include affects upon those whom are working to ensure others well being as ‘What are they supposed to do?’: TTC drivers say closed bathrooms leave them with no places to go amid COVID-19 and myself having experienced this each day I have worked since the outbreak happened I must take a break to run home to use any facilities. This includes hand-washing/sanitizing to which I have plenty of wipes and sanitizer but without a sink and water I have no where to ensure my hands are actually ever clean before applying sanitizer. Am I not risking bringing it home with me to simply be able to do my job and why should we be forced to be at the shittier end of the exposure stick without any care or concern given for those we have to go home to? |
Better Yet Do Not Even Come In At All Line up 20 cars deep outside while we cut our staff extending service times while failing to give alternative options to delivery drivers while going through this time of pandemic. I understand they are trying to What to know about the risks of restaurant takeout and delivery — and how to minimize them yet I had a good example of why the restaurants despite how much they may take the brunt of discussion now in future the individual delivering the package will be of focus and our options reflect that awareness. No Racial Bias Intended Just My Prospective this east indian dude walked up to the window of Wendy's in the image just behind the trees. He was still there pounding on the window when I got there, snorting, coughing, a dirty looking old man I could smell over the exhaust of the cars. I said you must use the drive-thru and I was screamed at "NO!" followed by what sounded like insults in his language meanwhile walking towards me looking as if he was going to poke me with a finger out. I rolled up my window and smiled, got a gesture I have never seen before in response 😅
Social Engineering
Watching how things are playing out, evolving & reshaping, I realize we have an ongoing change in the social structure of our society. The way people communicate, conduct towards each other and even show affection is changing. In a way you could say this pandemic is engineering our society to be more health-conscious or at least germ-conscious whether or not it is orchestrated who is to question the power of mother nature. All of this is shaping the way people view each other now almost seeming as if we are each a threat versus a customer.
Will We Go Back To Normal?
The question many want an answer to! I say no, not in many ways but in the ones that matter most likely yes! Historically we see that as a society we tend to forget things like this. Not forget entirely but it falls from our collective consciousness till some new threat sparks memory enticing fear once more.
What Is Normal And Will It Be A New Normal?
This is a question of what each of us personally expect. In most cases we consider it to be the same amongst each other yet when faced with critical circumstances we are forced to realize we each have our own opinions.
What is adequate personal hygiene?
A question seemingly at the center of this battle. Are these not all concepts we should have already been practicing and have in the past? Sure the term social distancing is new but is not what it means the same thing our parents have told us since childhood?
We Are Watching Social Engineering In Action!
we are the generations to witness the shift take place. Starting with our grandparents and most likely ending with our grandchildren there seems to be afoot social revolution comparable to entering into and coming out of the dark ages. The years where illness and famine were the most prevalent yet without those collective memories we would have no foundation to fight against the threats we are now faced with. It always seems from the destructive ashes comes new growth and from all that chaos came society as we know it today with professional medicine the very tool needed to fight today's threats.
All Of This Leaves Me With A Curiously Hopeful Outlook
Though currently faced with bleak circumstances. What could come of the destruction and chaos we see in the world around us today, do you wonder also? I believe in things like Karma, for all the instant karma moments prove she is a bitch to me at least. Everything in the entire universe is a balancing act of forces therefore I conclude we are simply getting part of the equation that was long over due. If we think about this in terms of probability, we should actually research for new infections and seek for the next to potentially over come. The longer we go without encountering a pandemic level infection the more likely it will have devastating effects on our population when it hits. The issue remain money to which what I remain hopeful about is with the ongoing bailouts I hope to see an increase in funding for research being the only measure we have to defend from the unknown. With money I am certain a quicker response time could be achieved and when this becomes the biggest pharmaceutical cash cow ever I suspect the money ball to have nearly perpetual motion moving into the future... Some things are definitely going to end. ME? I will be rollin' my joints, gettin' where the gettin' is good,
