How to draw a wall in perspective (With steps).

Hi, I want to share with you a way to use perspective to create some nice drawings of walls.

With this method, using a ruler or not, you will be able to produce more realistic 3D perspectives. The draw that I made did not used a ruler, so, that´s tho show what can be done just with free hands.
Here are the steps to do so:

1º Step- Decide the points of reference

  • I made two x marks to translate where will be the convergence points, that means, if the wall continued been made for ever, where in the distance the viewer would see just one dot.

2º Step- Draw the curve

  • Create a line that will determinate the height of the Wall, if it is in the middle of the two x´s your drawing will have equal decreasing values, the more close to the reference point, higher will the value be, and more distant, lower.
This degree of changing can be understand by this image:

3º Step- Reference lines

  • With the help of a ruler, or not, you may like to crate lines to guide you, those lines come from the top and bottom edges of the line drawn at the 2º step, and encounter the points of reference.

4º Step- Draw the Wall properly

  • Using the guide lines, you will draw the top an bottom of each face of the wall, ending where you want to, and finalize they with a last line similar to the 2º step one.

5º Step- Erase the non necessary things

  • Such as the guide lines, and the point of reference.

Additional information
When using this to training to draw, try to change the angle to the central line, curve it, instead of a line use another shape, change the reference points, play with it. Things might and will not work out as we may think, but trying and understanding what get right or wrong make us better at it.

Last thing, I am not an artist, just someone that like to draw.
