SF Saiyuki Starzinger conocida en Latinoamérica como "El Galáctico", fue una serie de anime del género mecha.

La historia, basada en la Leyenda China del Rey Mono, trataba sobre el viaje que emprendían tres cyborgs (Galáctico, Giorgio y Glotín), como guardianes de la Princesa Aurora, quien tenía la misión de llegar al Gran Planeta en el centro de la galaxia para restaurar la energía de la galaxia entera.

Es una historia shounen (para público adolescente masculino), con ciertos toques románticos. La animación sigue causandome asombro hoy día debido a que, a pesar de no poseer grandes avances tecnológicos como los de hoy día, lograban efectos y movimientos de cámaras muy llamativos.

Esta fue una ilustración que hice del Capitán Giorgio. Era el más inteligente de los tres y el que más usaba la tecnología. Tenía una calculadora que le permitía hacer cálculos para predecir el resultado de una situación. De los tres, era mi preferido.

Esta serie es de 1978 y fue transmitida en Latinoamérica durante la década de los 80´s. Fue elaborada por Leiji Matsumoto en colaboración con Osamu Tezuka.

SF Saiyuki Starzinger known in Latin America as "The Galactic", was an anime series of the mecha genre.

The story, based on the Chinese Legend of the Monkey King, was about the journey that three cyborgs undertook (Galactic, Giorgio and Glutin), as guardians of Princess Aurora, who had the mission to reach the Great Planet in the center of the galaxy. to restore the energy of the entire galaxy.

It is a shounen story (for male adolescent audiences), with certain romantic touches. Animation continues amazing me nowadays because, despite not having great technological advances like those of now, they achieved very striking effects and camera movements.

This was an illustration I did of Captain Giorgio. He was the smartest of the three and the one who used technology the most. He had a calculator that allowed him to do calculations to predict the outcome of a situation. Of the three of them, he was my favorite.
