Fußball beim SVW

Hallo liebe Community,
heute möchte ich Euch von meinem kleinen Ausflug nach Mannheim in Stadion des SV Waldhof, das Carl Benz Stadion berichten. Der SVW spielt aktuell in der 3. Liga und kämpft gegen den Abstieg. Aber es finden noch immer tausende Zuschauer jeden Heimspieltag ihren Weg ins Stadion. Selbst gegen so unspektakuläre Gegner wie Preußen Münster, ohne diesen zu nahe treten zu wollen, kamen an die 10.000 Fans. So wie vor knapp 30 Jahren, als ich das letzte Mal dort war.
Ich hatte das Glück mir über einen Bekannten mal den Business Club des SVW anschauen zu können. Etwas Essen, ein paar Getränke und in der Pause etwas aufwärmen, das war schon toll. Und den Parkplatz direkt vorm Stadion natürlich nicht zu vergessen. Alles sehr schön.
Aber schön ist so eine Sache, das Spiel war es leider nicht. OK, ein hart umkämpftes 2:2 mit einem Traumtor des SVW, das sicher bei der Auswahl zum Tor des Monats Februar dabei sein wird, das war schon super. Aber fußballerisch lässt die 3. Liga doch sehr zu wünschen übrig und teilweise hätte man es mit einem Kick aus der Kreisliga verwechseln können. Aktuell geht aber in dieser Übergangsphase leider beim SVW nicht mehr. Kein Vergleich zu der Mannschaft, die vor nicht allzu langer Zeit fast in Liga 2 aufgestiegen wäre.
Aber nun denn, es war ein schönes Erlebnis, insbesondere die Gesänge der fans, die mehr oder weniger das ganze Spiel über mächtig Stimmung gemacht haben. War sicher nicht mein letzter Besuch, vielleicht erwische ich nächstes Mal ja ein ansehnlicheres Spiel.

Today I would like to tell you about my little trip to Mannheim in the SV Waldhof stadium, the Carl Benz Stadium. SVW is currently playing in the 3rd league and is fighting against relegation. But thousands of spectators still find their way to the stadium every home game day. Even against unspectacular opponents like Preußen Münster, without wanting to offend them, there were around 10,000 fans. Just like it was almost 30 years ago when I was last there.
I was lucky enough to be able to take a look at the SVW Business Club through a friend. Some food, a few drinks and something to warm up during the break, that was great. And of course don't forget the parking lot directly in front of the stadium. Everything is very nice.
But that's nice, but unfortunately the game wasn't. OK, a hard-fought 2-2 with a dream goal from SVW, which will certainly be included in the selection for goal of the month for February, that was really great. But in terms of football, the 3rd league leaves a lot to be desired and in some cases you could have mistaken it for a kick from the district league. Unfortunately, this is no longer possible at SVW during this transition phase. No comparison to the team that almost got promoted to League 2 not so long ago.
But now, it was a nice experience, especially the chants from the fans, which created a great atmosphere more or less the whole game. It certainly wasn't my last visit, maybe next time I'll catch a more impressive game.
